Great course / Good Deal
Played at 12:00 on a Sunday. Course was packed. moved at a solid pace with every group having foursomes ( 4:30 ). Not bad for a Sunday.
Weather was perfect. Course a little wet from rain on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Not much run out on the fairways. If you could hit good shots, it was like throwing darts on a dart board. Daughter played course for first time. She enjoyed course as well ( shot 82 ). Good variety of tees for all levels of play.

Secluded beauty with great views
Lots of natural woods, marshes, and overall nature. The views were great and the fairways were left open for us amateurs.

Out of Bounds
After the first 2 holes, we lost a couple of balls. We thought the entire course was lined by a swamp but after the first couple of holes, it opens up (thankfully)! I like this course but I wouldn't pay more than $50 per round.

Rain Day
Didn't play. Too much rain. Called course at 8:30 to ask about 12:00 tee time and guy said he wouldn't play. Contact golf now and we'll tell them to refund your money. I hope this happens. Loyal golf now customer.

A great Saturday at Red Tail!
A beautiful day on a great course. The grounds keepers have done their best to keep greens and fairways green in the hot, dry summer. I still prefer this course to Turnberry. The Village of Lakewood got the better end of that deal.

Course in Great shape
Busy but it kept moving
Brats/grilled onions outstanding
Off fairway was brown and dead grass
Some traps were wet or extremely hard

Nice course, greens need some work
Very nice public course. Fairways in great condition, rough hard and dry so the ball rolls. Greens are soft and roll true but lots ball marks though. Hard to tell if the greens are just too soft or people don’t fix their ball marks. Over all very nice course for the value. $10 replay rate during the week can’t be beat

Need to move slow groups along
Our round took over 5 hours because there was a group three slots ahead of us that were walking and they were gambling or something because they would stand on the tee and argue about their game or whatever....when they had three holes open in front of them. They backed up the course for everyone else the entire afternoon. We did not see a marshall nor anyone else try to address the issue.....it was frustrating as it was a solvable issue.

Great value
Redtail is great course to play for the money. Not the hardest course but enjoyable. Carts have GPS. Good price for weekday twilight. Pace of play is a hit or a miss. Sometimes it can be very backed up and others I can fly thru.

Great day for golf unfortunately lots of other golfers let the same thus the slow play. Love the layout and the staff were so friendly. Can't wait to play it again.

The Tail Is Back
After playing RedTail for a decade plus, I stopped frequenting the course for the past 2 years given the Village’s decision to try and make it something that it wasn’t. I’m happy to say that the new GM and Head Pro and staff have turned the Tail around, making it a fun and enjoyable experience again. Great value for the money, including the food and drinks after the round. Keep up the great job that you’re doing!

Worth the drive to the burbs!
We had a great experience due to the Pro and his staff who were courteous and knowledgeable about the course and game. We tee'd off on-time and having driven from Chicago, we were excited to play the course and feel like we were in a country setting without all the noise and busy course conditions / trappings of the city. The course was laid out well and the greens were fast but fair. Highly recommend.
