Great course but would appreciate some precautions and better tee timing
Small clubhouse with some standard supplies, drinks, etc. Most people including the gentleman working were not wearing masks. Large bucket of balls is $7. Decent range but only mats to hit off of. Small putting green, no sand. I was grouped with a few guys who wanted to play another round at the last minute and had to share a cart with one of them. Would have preferred my own. Pace was a little slow for our group of now 4 so had a few groups of 2 play through. Course itself was great overall, nice fairways, consistent greens. Some areas of the rough might warrant a pick and place onto grass or you'll be hitting off dirt and rocks though. No beverage cart or turn at the clubhouse so make sure you bring what you need. Their hours are apparently 8:00-8:00 and prices vary between ~$24-28. If you catch a lower golfnow price, they'll honor it between 11-12 but otherwise you pay the difference there.
Great shape deceptive greens
This is the best shape this course has been in for years. The rain this summer has been a huge help. Fairways are full and cushy- perfect for iron play. The greens are deceptive with lots of breaks that you will not catch at first glance. They have really put some time and $$ into the course this past year and it shows
Very nice course at a great price
The course was in great condition. Fairways were nice and mowed and the greens were in fantastic shape. It is a great course for the price.
Forsyth golf course
The course was great!! But the golf now app don’t have a clue about the course booked a 730 tee time got there and the course don’t open till 8 and they charged 8$ to book the tee time it was cheeper to just go through the course!
costumer service
The Old guy that works there is a complete jerk! He says he does take Golf Now reservations, however, he will except it from 11 am to 12 pm? Like how does that make any sense? My reservation was at 12:52 and how was I suppose to know that. So I paid $122 dollars to play with my buddies and then had to pay 28 dollars at the clubhouse because he said he wouldn't honor Golf Now?

Reading the past reviews I think the people owns this course are the ones writing good things about it because this course is by far the worst golf course in south GA if you pay your money it’s on you
We would ask that you keep playing golf in Jonesboro and not return to forsyrh. We are not in the business of pleasing individuals looking to be catered at your level paying. $15 with an outside source such as golf now. Average rounds of 100 a day speaks for itself, not from an individual with semi par literal skills. As the 6 not helpful thumbs up presses other patrons have given, your review speaks for itself mr I didnt get my way
Forsyth isn’t in South Georgia you moron. It’s in Middle GA, 75 miles from Atlanta. You’re from Jonesboro. There are multiple courses in just Jonesboro that are worse than this one. Lake Spivey is one of them. I have to disregard your post review since you dont even know where you live.
golfnow
Forsyth Golf Course is a great city course. It is your average public course with hard fairways and small greens. The price is very reasonable. The proshop price is sometimes cheaper than golfnow. The course also does not accept golfnow reservations after 12 p.m or before 11 a.m. Golfnow has been instructed to fix this mistake but fails to do so resulting in the course getting poor reviews from a lack of satisfaction with golfers not getting their way
Course does not accept Golf Now bookings
As evidence by the photo attached, Forsyth Golf Club only accepts Golf Now reservations from 11 a.m. - noon. although the Golf Now site allows you to book other times. The course manager said that Golf Now has been told to change their booking to no avail.
Additionally, the course was extremely dry, dusty and several ground under repair areas not identified.
I am disappointed with Golf Now and Forsyth Golf Club as neither seemed to address the guest satisfaction.
I apologize for the inconvenience the day you came. I try to work with golfers to provide a good experience, I was not there on the 17. I would have honored your deal even though it was golfnows mistake. I have tried repeatedly to fix the issue but golfnow doesn't work with me. If you decide to return, which I'm sure you will not, I would be willing to comp your next round

Do not book tee time after 12 on GN for this course they do not honor it will make you pay at clubhouse

Please don’t do it bad very bad nothing good to say about it just don’t play it if you care about your game if you are a hacker then go for it
Bad All Around
First off, the course would not honor my tee time that I booked on Golf Now. They had a notice that they only accept tee times from 11-12pm from Golf Now. My tee time was at 1:56pm.
Second the fair ways was garbage. Weeds everywhere. The fair ways was also hard as a rock.
Third the greens are very small and way to firm.
This is the first and last time that I will be visiting this course. I highly suggest that GolfNow drop this course from there list
We are glad you will not be gracing us with your presence in the future. I hope you find another course to play for $10 hot deal that satisfies your every need and want. Almost every review you have made is negative which means you want something for nothing and we are thrilled you will not return

Fun course at a good price.
Short course but that's what makes it fun in my opinion. Fairways are forgiving. Greens are small, but that really gives you a chance to work on your wedges and short game. There are a few blind shots and some of the greens are really close to the next tee box so use caution. Guys that run it are very friendly and really appreciate your business. I'd play it again at regular price which is not much more than my GolfNow deal. For what they charge they do a really good job keeping the course in nice shape. Remember this is not a resort, it is typical of most city courses I've played. Come with that in mind and I think you'll enjoy it.

Personal feelings about employees should not reflect the course. We Accommodate golfers to the rules that are posted. Golf now tries to place players as they wish on a course that is not theirs. By all means, do not return and we will not have to worry about another hot deal coupon seaker crying about not getting their way for $11.
