Good value
Fun course to play. Greens are challenging. Several holes with lot of slope. As a woman golfer, I found the par 4s and 5s reachable.
small greens
the course was fine but the greens were tough with being small and shaggy
Great for Price
This is the second time I've played here and the first in several years. With the hot deal I paid $16.33 after fees. The normal price seems to be around $25. For either price it is a great deal. The front nine was in great condition. Fairly easy fairway layout for the front nine but with difficult, non-flat, quick greens. The back nine seemed to be the opposite, with easier, flat, slower greens but with narrower fairways with frequent bends. As I stated, the condition of the front nine was VERY good, while the back nine was fairly good. Definitely recommend this to other beginners or experienced golfers. If you can drive the ball far, you will do well on this course, as some of the par 4's and 5's are VERY short. However, if you can't putt well, you will have a VERY difficult time on the front nine. Friendly, funny staff. Had a great time and will be returning frequently.
Fun course
Great course awesome condition. The greens were a little small they were fast which was real challenging no complaints. I drove 2 and 1/2 hours to get there great day trip
An Up and Down Round [And Side to Side] :-)
The course undulates up and down the fall line that runs through GA. Its shortness is offset by the difficulty in getting a level lie. The greens are small, inverted saucers - tough to get it to stick and challenging on up-and-downs. Several holes are blind or semi-blind. Balls will keep running, often into unmaintained areas. Greens not particularly smooth. Bunkers are dirt; fortunately not many. Birdhouses at 150 yards are the main markers; tough to see the 100-yard stones. Course does not return to pro shop after 9 holes, so stock up. Lots of coolers. Range consists of a half-dozen mats.
Factor in what you'll pay and you should have a fun round. Would play again.
Course decent
Staff extremely unfriendly and seemed like I was back in the 60s
Old course getting better now !
I have played this course many times , but have not played here for three years. I saw that the course
has now joined golf now so I decided to check it
out ,called a friend of mine to join me in a round
back at the old forsyth golf club, we use to play here years ago he invited a co worker to meet us
got a hot deal. We had a great round , the course is in better condition now all the fairways were freshly cut, and the greens were cut much lower
making putting better. GIVE THE OLD COURSE A
TRY IT IS BETTER NOW.!
Thanks Billy Jackson, Ga.
