Mid Handicapper’s Dream
I found this course to be challenging but very playable. You’ve gotta think to score but you can still get away with the occasional miss-hit.
Greens are great
I play here 4 or 5 times a year. We travel all over to play golf. I’m telling you these greens on the gold course were in fantastic condition. Minus the few divots we had to fix from groups in front of us. I had a 6:52 tee time and we finished at 10:45 little under 4 hours which on a Saturday is good. Differently will be back again this year. Keep up the great work!!!
Gold Course
Overall this is a nice course, but the conditions aren’t the same as they were earlier in the season.
One of my favorites!
Great course conditions; tee boxes are well maintained and greens play true. Occasionally the course will be backed up a little bit, but worth every penny. Loved the Gold course.
Have your day free when you go!!!
First we did go on a Saturday, but with MOST of the courses I play it would not have caused the issues we ran into. We had a 10:16 tee time for the gold course. We got there at 9:50 and went to the snack shop as directed to pay. It took a few minutes for someone to notice we were there as they were busy inside. I gave him my name and tee time, he acted surprised we were there and asked if we were walking or riding (which is odd because the price on golf now includes a cart) told him riding. After we paid we were instructed to go to the cart area and the people there would give us a cart. We went there and we were told all the carts were being used for a golf outing (that did not start until 11:00) and would have to wait. Finally got our carts at 10:30, loaded them up and off to see the starter who informed us we were late for our tee time (NO KIDDING). Said it didn't matter anyway as there were 2 foursomes on the tee box ahead of us. I asked how backed up were the tee times ? He just laughed and said welcome to the weekend. We Pushed the groups in front of us and still played a little over 5 hour round for a 4 some. LONG SLOW DAY!!! To top it all off we got to the turn at about 1:00 and we were hungry. The girl working there said she just put the hot dogs on less than 2 minutes ago and it would be a while before they were ready! Hope the Golf Outing was taken better care of than we were. I guess their money spends better. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES, DO NOT BOOK THE TEE TIME AND DO NOT TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Fantastic
The GOLD course is in really great condition. We were very impressed and enjoyed our round. Looking forward to playing here again.
Excellent Conditions!
The golf course is in excellent condition. I played at 5:56am so the front nine greens were wet which I understand. Back side was mowed and the greens were really nice. There are lots of divots on the front nine. For the love of God, replace your divots all of you regulars......not hard to bend over all you 55 and over and do your part....layout was nice from the blue tees. not overly challenging, but fun...I wasn't in a bunker but they looked fine. Overall the gold course was enjoyable and people were nice. I'll be back for the blue course next.
Also...cart paths are pretty bad so watch those magnetic scopes...
Great Course, Terrible Pace of Play
The course is in great shape with well kept fairways and greens. The Gold Course has great holes, including their signature #10 with the island green. Challenging course, but approachable for almost any handicap golfer. With that being said, the pace of play was awful. Burned through the front four with no groups to be seen before or after me. That all changed on five, where I had caught up to 2 foursomes playing extremely slow. The foursome two ahead backed up the course so bad, that a group finally caught up to me at #10....that had a tee time 1 hour later than mine. Ended up jumping in with them and we sat and waited and waited and waited. When I booked the tee time and saw many open slots before and after me, I was imagining a quick 18, not 4+ hours. No course attendants to tell the group to pick up pace. It’s a shame, great course, but the slow pace really turned me off. Might give it one more try.
Old school
So havent played here since 1999. A few changes which was great and the staff and layout are still awesome. Pace was slow i even was paired with 2 ladies who were good and the 4somes in front wouldnt let us through so a 4 and a half hr round but i.will be back asap to play the blue course. Gold was my conference course and the blue was my regionals so cant wait to go back
Green Garden - Great shape in 2020
I played today on the Green Garden Gold course for the first time in 2020 (I played it in past years). The course was in fantastic condition! It was 92 degrees today with a slight breeze, so conditions to play were fine. I like how they cut the grass in the rough low enpugh to find your balls quickly.
Really like the Gold course. Good challenge for a mid-handicapper. Island green 10th hole, 6-8 is a fun stretch of short par 4s, and the drive on 18 is always a challenge.
Staff is friendly.
Course can take on water, so be careful booking after heavy rains.
The course was awesome . Can’t wait to go back and play the course again. Forty five holes , we played the gold course with my son. Challenging and course well taken care off. Staff was great . Getting a group to go out there .
