Greens good, Fairways fair, cartpaths terrible
The greens were in better shape than my last visit. The fairways were not too bad, except I hit a rock in the ground with my six iron. Kind of upset me since it was not visible to the eye until after I took a divot. The cartpaths need extensive repair work. I had some minor surgery about six weeks ago and I thought my incisions would open up again on some of the cartpaths. The fairways were much smoother than the cartpaths.
Great Mountain Course
Great golf course. Challenging but still able to score. #15 is a great par 3 with a heck of an elevation change.
Beautiful course with some maintenance issues.
This is a beautiful course and the greens are in good shape, however, the cart paths are in terrible condition. A positive is the staff. They are friendly and efficient.
A natural beauty in the GA mountains that's really fun to play and where you're likely to see as many deer as other golfers.
A challenging but fair and really fun course to play with tree lined fairways, significant changes in elevation, doglegs and water hazards, where you're rewarded for keeping your ball in play by playing within your ability. A lazer or GPS may prove helpful on a few of the holes. Pick up a few of their fifty cent ball mark repairers, they work great!
Golf with Altitude
This course is truely magnificent. A great challenge with some picture book Holes. A real test for any standard of Golfer
The was a very challenging course
Nice course was in very good shape. Even in horrible weather it was still a great course and I will be returning.
Beautiful Mountain Course
Very picture x. Very challenging and narrow fairways.
Quick Pace of Play
Since a thunderstorm had chased most everyone away, I arrived an hour later and completed 18 holes in about 2 and 1/2 hours in the early evening. The greens were rolling great after the rain, but some of the lower lying areas tend to collect a lot of water when it rains. Also, a few of the holes are honestly too narrow in some of the fairways when compared to the distance required off of the tee. I'd like to see some of the tall grass in those areas mowed down to where you have a chance of finding your ball if your drive goes a little awry. Would also like to see some changes to the par 5s that play uphill. Very difficult to stop a ball on the greens due to the slopes.
