Great Elevation Changes
The fairways were basic winter conditions with little grass but playable and the greens puttable. The weather was perfect and pace of play fast. A great experience on an interesting course design. The girl in the pro shop was superb, providing fast, courteous, and beautiful smiling service. Definitely will play again.
Nice course
It was a very nice course for the price I would recommend it it's not like a Robert Trent Jones quality type course but it is a very nice course for the price
Get what you pay for
Can’t beat less than $20. Fairways and rough are pretty much the same and not a lot of grass grown. But the greens roll true and at a good speed. Great course to go and play for fun
Work in Progress!
I play this course often and I must say that the staff at Bowden are working hard to improve the course. Every time I’ve played the course in the last 6 months I’ve seen steady improvement everywhere. It’s encouraging to see the progress.
First time
This was my first round at Bowden. It turned out to be better than I expected. We were pleased with the course even though it has some work going on with some greens.
Slow
I wish they would have let the people at GolfNow know they was having a tournament. Made a teetime at 1140 went out an hour later. If i had known i would have made a later tee time. Waiting on every tee.
Fairways in very poor condition. No golf cart paths make fairways difficult to play off since hard packed. Course layout interesting.
Good Value
This course is in good condition especially for the rates. It costs around $24.00 (under 16 plays free on the weekends). Greens are in good condition, and the carts are nice. The range, chipping and putting greens are very good. It is a more open-style course, so you're not in trouble if you hit it far left or right. Overall a great course especially for the price.
Great course with a great staff
This is a great course with a great history. Was a little in the ruff side awhile back but they have a new Super Indendant and the the course already has made a 360 degree turnaround and only getting better! Fairways and greens are 100% improved. Greens have a great roll. Has a resturaunt attached that is in the process of remodeling and waiting for the opening to come. I would higy recommend it!
