Disappointing
This was my first time golfing at Millcreek. The layout is great the staff is friendly and it looks like the outside amenities are nice. I understand golfing on a holiday weekend can be challenging however 2:30 in the afternoon should have been a decent time to play when all the morning crowd should have been off the course enjoying their barbecues. Besides the five hour round there was no ranger on the course, there was no water in the ball washers, there was no drinking water, there was no water dip your towel in. The rough was virtually impossible to get out of, the greens were beat up!!!
I understand first time golfers have to learn somewhere but this is not the course to learn. For all the teaching pros, PGA pros and wanna-be pros, please incorporate some golf etiquette into your lesson. It's miserable for all the other golfers who just want to enjoy their around.
Nice course
Good course with some tricky holes. Not long so you may have a chance to shoot a great score. On some holes you need to put the driver away or you may shoot into trouble. All in all a fun course
Weekend fun
First time playing here. Told it was good. I had fun and enjoyed the course. The fairways were good but be careful on the greens. The ball doesn't break as much as you think it would.
interesting
it is a fun course to play
Great Value
Relatively narrow, tough course.
I seldom shoot well here but always enjoy the experience.
Nice early March day
A really decent $22 rate with cart early season course was in playable shape. Greens were bumpy but to be expected. Cart path only....not a surprise. They've cut all the high weeds down in several areas fronting tee boxes so you can see where you are going again however for first timers there are several holes you have to play at least once or twice to understand them. Interesting green complexes with lots of tiers. Mill Creek is a fun play when it's not busy.....when it is count on long rounds because of all the water/hazards in play. Enjoyed the day and will return this season a couple of times after the grass grows a bit.
Excellent November golf Day
Greens are in great shape. All fairways looked great . Weather was perfect for November. Can't wait intil the warm weather returns.
This Course has its challenges
i liked the course, it challenges the golf at many different levels
Old gem of geneva
Definitely not the course it was 15 years ago but still a fun layout and always a great value for golf
Great Course!
Very nice course for the money. Greens were in good condition, but on the slow side. Overall a very enjoyable time.
Hit'em Straight . . . or bring lotsa balls
Greens and pin placements were brutal on several holes, as were a few blind approaches. It was a target golf challenge for this retiree.
Fun to play
You have plenty of room to work.
Course heads out and around no right on top off each other here.
All holes offer a different view and challenge. well maintained staff is nice.
Well played shots are rewarded poor shots you have to work but are not killed over it. Bad shoots are bad. Duh
I can play this course and have Ok round of golf but still have a great day. to me that is what golf is about.
Hopper
This is a favorite of ours for along time, but it appears that they have no interest in taking care of there beautiful layout. The fairways were the worst I have played. The rough was really unplayable, and the greens were so slow you couldn't even putt them. Sad to see such a great layout in such sad shape. The replay cost was only going to be $10.00 we elected to drive over to another course just around the corner and pay $25.00 because we knew we would be playing a course that was well taken care of. Can not recommend playing here very sad.
Good day turned bad
Have played the course 8-9 times previously. Several holes are defended with hidden hazards that local knowledge requires you to avoid. Some of the course is a little gimmicky. The 7th green is only about 16 yards deep but about 53 yards wide. The course next has a nearly blind par 3 8th Hole. The 9th completes the front-nine gimmickry with a sloping uphill fairway that drops into a rather large swale about 265-275 yards out from the blue tees. The swale rises up to a plateau area of fairway maybe 45 yards long. This then drops off into a crater with water. Hit a 250 yard drive from the blue tees and you're 240 out with a totally blind shot over trees hugging the right side. The hole is a par 5 that forces you to hit a 100-125 yard lay-up shot for your second unless you're capable of hitting laser accurate fairway woods that travel 240 yards or so. The 10th hole is a little suspect, (it used to have a sign forbidding the use of drivers off the tee,) but the back-nine is more legitimate.
Ok course
The course while a challenging was in poor shape. I've never played a course that while hitting a CLEAN fairway shot that my club is grabbed. Additionally they were mowing which is fine however the amount of grass that was left on the course was as if you cut your grass for the first time in three months.
The course staff was zero help in transferring clubs to cart or cart to bag drop.
Mill creek
The course is challenging, but that is much more fun than those that are not.
I played a day after it rained, but fairly good drainage allowed for a nice game.
Greens were slow due to the rain but by the third hole we adjusted.
Golf Now gave us a good rate and we will definitely return.
Some fairways are narrow or blind, but will be better advised the next time out.
Terrible Conditions for Price
The course was completely saturated yet it hadn't rained. The tees were over grown with weeds and/or full of unrepaired divots. The grass in the fairways and greens were long. Everything needed to be cut and rolled. It was as if they hadn't cut the grass in a week. I've played there several times over the years and this was by far the worst conditions I've seen there. I won't go back.
dopgolf
Course was in very good shape, staff was friendly and attentive. Course is challenging for the average golfer with a lot of blind shots and drives over marshland and hazards. After rain and watering, approach shots need to be at the pin as there was very little roll. Practice area is average and used mats when we played. Also restricted to cart path only due to heavy rains previous day and night.
Not worth Your money
No a friendly staff .the course need to be cleaned from a lot of weeds .fairway not in good shap .directionn to the holes not clear .no ranger or starter you are on your own .i did play this course multiple times before this is the worst case
