No pace of play
No rangers on a Saturday to enforce pace of play. 5 hour 30 minute + round of golf is awful. I will never go back for that mess.
Much better
Last year we played on 4th of July weekend. Naturally we expected a slower than normal pace but it was a 6 1/2 hour round. This year on Father's Day we made it through in 5 hours. Perfect. Tees were moved up to encourage the faster pace. Staff was very friendly and course was in pretty good shape.
Great Deal, Great Course and Great Day
A buddy and I played here on a near perfect day. It was sunny, but not hot and there was a very nice breeze throughout. I don't golf very often, but when I do, I really appreciate a course like Mill Creek where the workers aren't hurrying you along, it’s not stressful, the other golfers aren't breathing down your neck and the course isn't extremely difficult to where I lose a dozen balls and get frustrated more often that not. Being a once a month golfer, I found that a lot of the fairways were open enough that I could drive the heck out of the ball with just a little control and the greens weren’t hard to get on. We got a great deal on price, but it felt like a well put together and kept up course.
Don't waste your time!
Greens weren't mowed in days. Tee boxes and fairways weren't mowed in at least a week or more. I've played the Millmany times in the past and never was this bad. Maintenance crew must be on strike, it was seriously a joke.
Playing Golf with your son.
It was a long drive hour and half . Golf course was in great shape. And just to be with my son is Priceless!! I would recommend the golf course. Try it your self.
Golf review
I played this course several years and was disappointed to see that it was not as nice as when I was before. The greens were not in the best of shape and lots of divets and tee boxes were missing some of the markers so it was disappointing. We both felt the same but hopefully it will improve.
Great Round
Played Memorial Day afternoon. Round took just over 3 1/2 hours. We had a great time, and waited on maybe 2 holes the whole day. The course is in great shape, and $38 with cart is excellent. I would definitely recommend this course to a friend.
Not Bad
Kind-of get what you pay for here. Not a bad course; greens and fairways in good condition; but, sand traps were awful. Shorter and narrow course from the blues that you can work on irons with; don't really need a driver from there.
Poor Upkeep overall
Played here many times. Like the overall layout of the course, but the fine details are starting to show/suffer. Carts are poor running gas carts, no scorecards kept at the first tee. Every Tee box trashed with hack marks. NO drinking WATER anywhere on the course on a 82 degree day. NO bathrooms anywhere on course. The ones on the 2nd hole locked on a busy weekend. A lot of beginner and hack golfers play here because of GolfNow deals. If you're an accomplished 30 round a year golfer, go somewhere nicer...
Mill Creek
First time playing here. Course is tight! Houses are close on several holes, lucily I didn't hit any :). The course stretches through a very nice neighborhood and is a very long walk. Not impossible by any means, just longer than most. Course was in really nice condition and fun to play. Pace of play was slow, especially for a weekday.
This course is in bad shape.
I have played here several times before. And I always thought it was in great condition. But, right now, the condition of the course is very poor. All of the tee boxes were very hacked up. Obviously leftover from last year. Like they never touched them since last year. Lot of big dirt patches in the fairways. No water in the ball washers. Some ball washers were not even installed yet. No starter on the first tee. Everyone just took off whenever.
Good Value for the Money, Quick Saturday a.m. pace
For $35 this is one of my favorites in the western burbs. Played as a twosome teeing off at 6:30 am, done by 9:30 am.
Excellent conditions, extremely friendly staff, fast play...excellent value!

Greens are in terrible shape
I booked a foursome there and it was $45.00 a guy which for April is a bit high compared to some of the other deals out there, but for 45 I did not expect every green to be damaged and bumpy. The cost should have been no more then $30.00 pp with the shape the course was in. I will play here again, but probably not until July when hopefully the greens are repaired.
Great Value course
good course, pretty easy. great value for the $. nice putting green, practice area is above average
Good bargain
A bargain when under $30 this course can be tight, tricky, and challenging. This is true even from the white tees , not long but fair, with enough trouble on all shots to eventually force you into a big number as it'll wear you down, and punish a miss hit.. It will promote perseverance and emotional control as you try to stay consistent. A good design that can get u ready for that big event, or journey to a high priced course on vacation. It winds through a neighborhood in Geneva and can be slow during peak times. When course conditions are a problem I'll move or roll my ball and just keep going. It's the kind of course that takes multiple playings to learn and will sharpen your skills, and as you move back to the blue tees (some forced carries and blind shots) or a tee further back, plenty of challenges await you as you get better.
Harsh winter
Well,
considering the kind of weather we have been dealing with in Illinois this year, overall condition of the course weren't so bad. Greens definitely need to be rolled but it was playable and was ok for the first round of golf of the season. I will check this place out during the summer as it has some challenges that make it interesting to be played at. I will definitely come back in the future although is a bit of a hike form me (45 miles from my house).
Short course yet good challenge.
Must keep drives in play with some very tight fairways. Key to scoring here is good iron play. Many greens are very undulated, some with 3 levels. Poor putters should stay home. A few par fives required lay ups due to hazards.
Greens were terrible
For 25$ not bad but they could of let us know that course conditions were awful before we got the tee time
Course not exceptionally long @ 6200 yards from the back tees.
Links style is very challenging w/ water on some holes.
