City Club Marietta

The course was in great shape, the greens were a bit wet so ball marks were very noticeable. I would be great if the folks who made ball marks would repair them. But 3 hours to complete a round on Sunday morning was great.

Best post round hot dog can be had at the grill by the 9th green.

This course is well maintained with great greens and fairways.

It is a short Par 71 course and very forgiving. No horrible carries. One of the Par 3s was playing 84 yards from the whites. A bunch of easy scoring short Par 4s in the 280-340 yard range...

I have played here twice and scored well both times. The folks are nice - they have GPS and scoring on the carts.

This used to be the Marietta Country Club and has since been bought by the City and they seem to do a great job running it. It has the feel of a very old course with a simple layout. Nothing tricky here...

Very Fun - give it a try.

I've played this course several times before. This one time the course was in not good shape. Greens were in rough shape, had some weeds in them. They were also inconsistent some were hard and fast and some were hairy and the ball rolled slowly. I play this course only for a change of scenery from my local muni. I'll go back next year, hopefully it's in better shape.

A little over 6,000 yards from the tips, this is not a long course. While not an overly challenging it has some interesting holes. Course is in good shape.

Love the carts having its own range finder and scorecard that was awesome. Course conditions were very good considering lots of rain the day before. Overall good course for a little challenge being in a beginner golfer.

Course is really fun little course, the greens need a good rolling and people need to fix their ball marks but other than great.

Very well maintained, beautiful layout in rolling hills.

the only drawback was the slow play

I had a great time there. Played 18 with a 10:00am tee. I would have rather played earlier but had to wait on a buddy to get through Atlanta Traffic:( The staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape. I rented a set of clubs - Very nice Taylormade Clubs and they had choices of shafts and putter types! ProShop Guy's are awesome! The guy's in the starter shack are great also to sit a chat with before going out and paired us with some great folks from the area(good tips on the course as well). Thanks Again for a great round!

The online deal for $30 was the reason I choose to play here. The weather was perfect, and there wasn't a group scheduled to tee off for an hour after us.

We took our time, however caught up to a log jam unfortunately at the 10th hole. Extremely slow after that, which took some of the enjoyment out of the round. We lost focus, and the round faded out. I would play again for that price. The GPS yardage and maps on the carts was a big plus, as well as the range, putting green, and chipping area.

I always play well at this course. The course layout allows the average player to score well, and at the same time provide just enough of a challenge to keep things interesting.

Loved playing it...will come

I painfully made nine holes this afternoon with my father trying to enjoy a beautiful day, but the pace of play at this course was so dreadful we had to 'eave, although they gave me a rain check which I may not even use it was so bad. it was the worst ive seen in my 20 years of golf with one hole clocked at a 23 minute wait time at number 8; This was after the group in front of us teed off with nobody obstructing their approach. How can a resort golf course not have a ranger????? dumb please fix this problem for the golf community in cobb county.

First - you drive into the Hotel parking lot- not Club Dr on the GPS. The fairways and greens were in good shape. Tee boxes needed some work. Playing from the tips is 5700 so a little short but better than others nearby. Layout was nice.

the course was in terrible condition and at $50 I will never play it again

The course was OK. Early in the season so I give it a bit of a break. Not a long course. Crowded and pace of play was a little slow. Felt the price I paid for two golfers and a set of rental clubs was expensive (over $150.00) Back side is better than the front. Greens were coming back and should be better later in the season. Overall course was a little rough.

The course was in fair shape, suffering from seasonal dormant grass on fairways and lots of rain. So we dealt with the mud and very tight lies on most shots. The greens were in good shape though. They were fast but rolled true and were receptive to shots, on the few times I hit the green on an approach shot.

I was happy to see lots of improvements being made to cart paths and drainage. The workers were very nice to invite us to shoot over and around them and explained what they were doing to improve for golf.

Normally pace of play is fine,but on this particular day the group ahead was slow and hitting multiple balls.

The course played very slow as we waited on each and every hole. We paid for 18 but only played 9 because of the delays. The course should engage a marshall to supervise pace of play. Even a 25 handicap golfer can play quickly if you play ready golf. I blame the course and management for this.

This course is shorter than most you will find these days. The bent grass greens could use a little work. Just sprayed for weeds, so a little bumpy. Pace of play is about 5 hours, but they are good about pairing you up so it is well balanced.

I have always loved playing this course. It plays short, but has enough variety to make it interesting and challenging. The weather was not ideal, but the course was in good shape and green. I recommend City Club to anyone.
