Only played 9, Rained but enjoyed the front nine

Pretty course. Well maintained, wish we could have played the back but we got rained out. A challenging and fun front 9.

Fun course, Short but didn't play it.

Fun course, first time playing would play some holes differently now with course knowledge. Some of the greens were punched and sandy but did not cause a problem. Nice old school course feel.

Very Nice Course

Very nice course to play all around. Nice fairways and good greens. Golfnow has very good deals for this course. Original fee can be a little bit expensive, take advantage of the deals.
All golf carts has electronic score cards and gps, awesome feature.
I will definitely play again in this course and next time I will bring my friends over.

Good little course, slow play.

I played this course Saturday. The front nine is very compact, almost to the point of confusion. Some of the fairways and tees could use some TLC. The back nine was more open and in great shape! I did enjoy playing there. It is a moderately challenging course because there are so many blind tees, you must rely on the cart-mounted GPS to gauge distance on the first hit. I did enjoy the round and will play there again. (only on a discount deal)

CC of Mar. is a very unique course.

City Club of Marietta gives you the feel you are playing a variety of courses. From the first hole to the last you can enjoy the elevation changes of North Carolina or the flats of Florida. With the few water holes and well placed bunkers, CC of Mar. creates just enough challenge for both the beginner and experienced golfer.
The course is well maintained considering it is a city owned course.
I enjoy a different game every time I play.

A great course that makes you pick the correct club off of the tee. The greens are very responsive and roll great. I will be going back very soon.

My New Home Course

I have been playing (and will continue to play) various courses in the ATL-metro area. However, I had not played City Club Marietta until three weeks ago. Now I have played it four times! This beautiful course is only a few miles away from me, so I'm now making it my preferred place to play! This tract presents enough challenge for a double digit handicapper to to challenge him/her to play true and make the best decision to stay in play, while also allowing for many gutsy risk-reward opportunities. The greens are consistent, which is a big thing for me. The staff gives this place the feel of a private club.

Home Course

I live 5 minutes from the course, so it's my go to, but it's also that way for ALL of Marietta (Over 100,000 people), so the pace can be slow especially on weekends.
It's a shorter course, even from the tips with only one par 4 over 400 yards (the steeply downhill #1), and one 570 yard par 5. Don't let it fool you because the platform greens on most holes emphasize accuracy as a shot only a couple feet off the green will roll up to 10 yards off.

Greens had a lot of po annua on them

Marshalls should have play speeded up. Players seem oblivious to others on the course, so don't attempt to get out of the way or let people through. If this is improved, course is enjoyable to play.

Great shape but overpriced

I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Greens in great shape and at least half have been reconditioned with bent grass. I still feel it is a little overpriced due to being a short course and little difficulty. This should be a $35 courses all day, not $50-60 during peak. You do have new carts with GPS so guess they're still paying for these new toys!

Short, Challenging, Well maintained

Played on a Hot Deal and got more than my money's worth. The course in good shape overall. The occasional tee box was pretty tore up and there was no sand available to fill divots but the greens were smooth and the fairways had healthy grass. The pace of play was a little slow but it was a beautiful day so that didn't bother me. This did appear to be a busy course so slow play is probably the norm. The layout was good for a short course with quite a few dog-legs to keep it more challenging. On the other hand, a couple par 4's were short and straight and tight making it tempting/fun to take a risk and swing for the fences.

Course of the past. Tee boxes need more sun. The overall playability was nice.

First time playing this course and I was helped along with two limber backs that showed me the lines to take as there are a few blind shots. Overall I consider this course as a shot makers course with emphasis on target golf. The greens are smaller than standard as they where built way before the new type of greens that are standard today. A few tee boxes need sun and more sun, fairways coming along nicely( 4/17/13) this time of year. Plan on playing again mid-summer, should be nice. Be on your game with your yardage up hill and down hill +- I recommend this course if you like playing the nostalgia of yesterday( not many left in this condition). Your still away!!!!
