Great course for the money
Good course friendly staff great pace of play.
Bunkers need sand.
Some tee boxes under repair
A few greens need to be rolled over good course
Tee high let it fly
sandy greens
Staff/ course did not let customer know about the greens having so much sand, not very good to play on.
We do enjoy playing this course but will wait A while until the greens get back.
Should improve in time
This course has been in better shape. At a distance, it looks okay. The greens were recently aerated and sanded making putting difficult and unpredictable. The fairways were pretty good except for a few bare spots; hard to get grass to cooperate under trees and in run-off areas. Tee boxes needed cutting and some fill in. Appears they were purposely not cut.
Played in an afternoon 9-hole scramble... a little warm and humid.
Gave the course conditions a "fair" rating expecting the conditions (greens) to improve. Same for off-course amenities as the staff is limited and the clubhouse locked up by 7:00 PM (?) with several groups still on the course.
What the prices. ...over charge
Played here 2 weeks ago....the price on THEIR OWN WEBSITE was $21...when arrived was charged $33..was told website was wrong..played anyway...gave then another chance saturday..website said $33. When arrived was charged $44....I even showed him on the COTTONFIELDS WEBSITE . Was told it was wrong that they have no control over website...played anyway...that was mistake. Group of five playing in front of us....also a group had 2 people sharing clubs and slowed the pace of play...group also had a stereo playing...no Marshall anywhere....bunkers were not mainatained....this course is going down hill..use to b nice placee to.play....now it's anything goes....but the fees are what got us...drove from. COBB COUNTY....JUST CALL AND GET YOUR FEE...customer service was lacking...but hey they did fix some of the cart paths....
Best play for your money
The new greens are a btt slow getting to full growth for this year. However, warm will make them perfect in a week or two. Fairways are reaching good turf after a long, wet winte and spring.
Cottonfeileds remains the best condition and layout for your fee.
Wish they had a annual membership.
Cotton Fields
Good value. The bunkers are overgrown with grass, but the greens are looking good. The tee boxes could use some work as well.
Home Course
Staff is always friendly, I have noticed the improvements made to the course, and cart paths. The bottom line is I come here to golf, and not to be entertained by amenities. Cotton fields offers golf, at a decent rate, with friendly staff.
Thank you
Good test
Lots of water and sand traps to test ability. Some very tight lies and sand traps need to be filled in. Some greens need to grow in.
Good value
This course has some great holes. From the back tees, you'll want to pull driver on most par 4s and 5s. Many of the holes have either water views or water that is directly in play. As others have mentioned, the course is not in great condition. Tees, bunkers and greens all need work.
Nice layout.
My every weeken tries to play a new course whenever possilble and the Cotton Fields was next on the list. The layout was nice. If you like challanging hazards you'll love this course. Only four holes have no water in play on the entire course! Pace was excellent as we finished in less than four hours. The greens could use a little attention as vould the bunkers which seemed a bit sandless. Overall the course is worth the affordable price for weekend play.
Kid Friendly!
I took my 13 year old son and 16 year old nephew. The staff was awesome and it made the experience that much better. What an awesome way to make memories with kids!!! Thanks!!!
Needs time to mature
The staff is always great! I sometimes wonder about pairings because I see that I would have been hung out to dry with the tee time I have. Course has some rough edges but is a cool little layout. The tees need some work but some greens need a little love too. The cart path repairs were nice to see so I know this place cares about its golfers and I will always go back because the people are awesome!
Bag for your buck
This course is just right! Golf now tee time for $20.
just a little maintenance would be ok
i think they move the cups once a week .. when u leave the cup in one place it is detrimental to the green .. everyone eventually steps around the hole..and who does don't know how to do it .. 2 of my putts hit the metal edge , which was about 1/4" below the surface , and bounced out .. what a joke ..and everyones big ol meathooks go in after their ball .. they just need moving everyday .. cart paths were terrible .. obviously struggling to make ends meet..
The course has great festures
Spring break ,lots of people on course. Very slow pace, no Marshall to manage the golfers.
Great
Nice. Course to work on ur overall gameNice par 5 and excellent par 3 will have u grabbing all ur clubs in the bag
