course was over booked.
Had to wait 2 hrs for a golf cart. Put my schedule behind. Was late to my granddaughters birthday dinner.
Nice course
First time playing but will go back . Greens were slow but overall course was in good shape . Very friendly and helpful staff and other golfers were very nice !
Will play again.
I enjoyed the course for the most part. One hole was shortened from a par 4 to a 3, due to a faulty sprinkler head that flooded the fairway (stuff happens). The staff was friendly and course marshals were trying to keep everyone moving at a good pace. Several bunkers had no sand in them, but it appeared that the we're re-doing them. Greens were slow but in good shape.
Overall, more positives than negatives. Will return.
Greens slow
Good round in general. Pace excellent. Greens slow enough to affect scoring.
Course in great shape greens are good but a little slow. Fairways are lush and
Challenging course
I was in between clubs for a lot of shots but thats golf
the course was ok but there was no marshall and i was playing alone and it took 3 hrs. for 9 holes.no one could start on back nine and it was backed up for all the holes. wound up playing front side twice.
Good day with 4 friends
We had a very good day, easy play, nice group of people all over the course. Every tee time was filled until after 10 AM, but everyone seemed to be playing at about the same pace and enjoying a good day after the Labor Day Holiday.
Hot Deals are great, especially when they are in the early part of the day!
Enjoyable Course
I've played Cotton Fields numerous times over the years. There are courses that fit ur eye, this is one for me. I enjoy playing this course and will be back for sure.
Pleasant surprise
Overall in pretty good shape. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Greens okay. Some spots need repair but pins were not near them.
The layout of the course is a little funky. You have to hunt for the next tee box sometimes. Could be labeled better. There are markers for 100 and 150 yards, but few yardage markers on the sprinklers. I forgot my harming so I was guessing at yardage all day.
The staff was very nice. Laid back atmosphere.
Nice course!
Played twilight on Sunday evening. Was a nice night and great conditions on the golf course. We will definitely be back!
Cotton Fields
Cotton Fields is a nicely laid out course, however there is something really wrong going on here. I’m not sure if it is management, keepers, or a water issue, but the greens here are really poor, bare, and extremely slow!!!!! Some are nice but most are not! You also have to like playing over water to like playing here, Hummmmm, maybe they could use some of this water on the GREENS??????? The carts were also in need of repair, one had almost NO BRAKES and the other had vert loose steering. A lot of the course was green, lots of trees and good scenery, but the greens were very poor! I would not play this course again for a good long while, just to see if it recovered or if I found out management changed.
Not this time
Played this course several times on the last few years. Not in the best of shape. The green flat out stunk. Need a lot of work, spots overgrown, spots dried out, it was a mixture of two grasses on most if not all greens. Really had the push the ball very hard to have any chance of getting it to the hole, not. Just not great greens right now, lot of sand on most greens as well. I must say the fairways were decent and the tee boxes were ok, but wouldn't pay more than $20 to play this course right now.
Good deal for the money
Had one of the first tees times on Sunday, a lot of dew still on the course, but didn't hinder play. Greens were a bit slow at first, then better as the greens dried. Had to rake some footprints that were left behind in a couple of bunkers, and repaired a bunch of pitch marks on the greens. If you're going to play the game, be courteous of others, do your part, and leave the course in better condition.
Slow play
The pace of play was ridiculously slow. I understand Sunday afternoons can become crowded but 5 hours to play a round is a little long. We waited repeatedly at tee boxes while the foursome in front of us hit multiple tee shots apiece and meandered around with no urgency or respect for the players stacked up behind them. If there was a marshal on the course that may have helped some....but I guess this being a public course you get what you pay for.
The course overall is still pretty well maintained and is a fun challenge. I've played this course numerous times and I will continue to come back. My only complaint is the pace of play.
