Lots of Hazards!
A lot of houses along every hole. A lot of water as well so you will lose some balls. Purse was in fairly good shape. Easy to walk since it’s very compact so each hole is not far from the next. Good value
Great Track
This is a great muni course. They obviously are still investing in the course maintenance wise. The bunkers had raked sand. The green rolled consistent and true.. I will definitely play again
Good day of golf
I usually don’t like playing courses that has the word lakes in it. But I’ve played here multiple times. Good pace of play. Staff was very nice. No issues.
A Nice Hidden Gem
It’s seems the water is strategically placed for a miss hit golf shot; fun, open course for the most part, but definitely has its challenges.
Challenging fairways and lots of water
This was my first visit to this golf course. I thought the course was in great shape for the amount of rain we had last night. Puddles formed but were quickly absorbed during play. It was cart path only which makes it difficult for everyone to get to their shots in a timely manner. Other than that it is defiantly a course to play.
I will say I am pretty picky about customer service.
I was unimpressed with two of the staff members. At check in the person behind the counter was not engaging. Seemed to me to be uninterested in his job.
At the turn the person in the grill was looking at his phone and not paying attention to me standing there.
The Bev cart (Claire-I think) was great. Super sweet and happy to be out on the course! Im giving a shout out to the Starter too. He was also very nice.
Great course for the money
Played on a very hot day. The course was in very good condition and the staff were really nice. I intend to return in the future.
consistently good
the staff is always friendly--makes you feel welcome.
the course is always in good condition. just a nice place to spend the afternoon. we will definitely be back
Tough shots good greens
Played the tips, shot 81 with the best collection of drives ever. The pins are tough, the greens smooth, soft and receptive. I fix 4 deep ball marks every hole. Greens are fair, very fast but deceptive. My playing partner who can usually hit the ball well, got freaked out by water in 3 places on some holes. Shot a lifetime worst of 127! I think the 80 year old Korean lady, pressing us from behind, beat him by 40 shots!
A Fun Course
We had fun. Bring plenty of balls! Restrooms are closed. Club has installed Port-a-Johns. Not sure what that accomplishes since there was no sanitation procedures. . That being aside; it was fun. And we will play there again.
Sand Traps
Great course with tight fairways good greens and challenging holes that require accurate drives. Sand traps absolutely the worse I've seen ever. But the price was right. Had a great day!
Nugent course so bring lots of balls
This is a typical Dick Nugent layout, not long but a mixture of relatively easy holes and holes that are way too tough for weekend golfers. Holes 2, 3, 4, 10, 13, 17 and 18 are very penal. I'd say on average I lose about 5 golf balls on those 8 holes. I'm no fan of Nugent's work, As I get older (I'm 67), they take more and more fun out of the game. The game's hard enough without having 6 or more penalty strokes a round.
Even playing the shorter tees doesn't help. Course was in decent shape, and the amenities are fine but Nugent courses aren't all that much fun.
