There is not a bad hole on this course. It’s challenging but playable, and the greens are perfect.

It is rare to play a course that you have never played and find that you thoroughly enjoyed it. I really liked this course! Greens were perfect along with the fairways and tee boxes. The only bad thing is that it is a LONG way away in Rome GA. It is a GREAT destination if you want to get out of the city and decompress. Highly Recommended!!

Lovely course, peaceful and great conditions, friendly staff, good value, we had a great time!

First time playing the course and it was a pleasant surprise. Practice facilities were top notch. Marshall’s controlled pace of play. Great hole layout. Fairways almost plush. Greens had been sanded so speed varied. For under $50 this course was a steal.

Got a hot deal for $35 tax and all. Course was in good overall condition. However, Greens had been aerated, unknown to us, which is a strike against them. Strike 1. Course was severely overcrowded and seemingly overbooked. Our tee time was 9:40 and we couldn’t go off until after 10. Strike 2. Groups in front of us taking mulligans from the tee and fairway, while we were sitting there waiting on them as we had already finished the previous hole. We had to wait to hit every single shot on every hole all day. No marshall to enforce pace of play. Strike 3.

Golf now has capability to alert players that your greens have been aerated—use it! I am all for golf courses making money any way they can and Packing tee times in there. If you’re going to do that, you HAVE TO have a marshall patrolling pace of play. No two ways about it. After a 5 hour round and nobody playing well (mostly due to frustration stemming from slow play and the lack of etiquette from other players/ lack of marshall interference), all four of us swore off stonebridge. We will not be back. We would rather pay double and have an enjoyable round.

Really enjoyed the course, I’ve played here for years and they do a great job... 9,10 and 11 are always challenging, but still able to score on this course.

I love playing this course but when I booked I was not informed that the greens had just been aerated. It was like putting on the beach.

My first time playing Stonebridge. Staff was friendly and helpful. The driving range was in great shape with plenty of grass on tee. Lots of flags to go at. They have a practice bunker that was in good shape and power raked. Greens were perfect condition and fast if you were above the hole. Pace of play was good for a Saturday. I really liked the layout. Used several clubs off the tee on the par 4’s and 5’s. Overall it was a great experience and I’ll be back.

You can’t beat this course for the money. Pace was excellent. The course was in great shape. The greens were perfect. Will definitely play there again, soon.

This is a great course. But no rangers, a group of 5 on a Saturday afternoon had golfers backed up. They did not offer to let anyone play through. We finally had to skip ahead 2 holes to finish our round before dark.

Played 9/29 on a hot Sunday. Pace was a little slow due to 2 foursomes in front of us. With that said we still played in 4 hours so not too bad. Course was in great shape tee to green. Had wonderful lies in the fairways and greens were very receptive and rolled very true. Nothing but good things to say. keep up the good work.

A round at Stonebridge centers around the risk/reward plays offered by the four par 5s. Solid drives off the tee will leave players with a decision to make, with three of the four promising dire consequences for a misplayed gamble.

The first of the bunch, the fifth, is fairly benign with virtually no hazards. The ninth, however, is the course’s signature hole, complete with the namesake stone bridge. A drive of at least 250 yards from the blue tees is going to make you want to go for it. And with a manageable carry of 225-240 yards, it is enticing. But it is all carry over a watery grave. Even the layup to an adjacent fairway can be problematic in trying to fit the shot between the lake and backing fairway bunkers.

The back-nine par 5s are short but require second shots over barrancas. The genius in the designs are that the shots aren’t so long that they are intimidating - in fact the length seduces you to go for it. But, hitting a number is required or bogey or worse comes into play.

The holes that play around the lake in the middle of the round (9-11) are very memorable.

The par 3s are fairly benign, with only the 15th offering any real trouble around the green. The other three do not have any hazards or bunkers surrounding them. Grass swales and contoured greens offer the only defense.

Although there are plenty of bunkers on the layout, most notably figuring into the three short par 4s, they usually aren’t really in play for the better golfer. The traps serve as optical illusions and bolster one of the course’s chief design characteristics: the targets from fairway approaches and all par 3 tee shots appear to have very little green to play to. This however is deceiving, as there is usually much more green to work with in each case.

Despite being a tree-lined course, the fairways are very wide and give plenty of room.

Beware of the footgolf holes (usually 2 per hole) and their corresponding flags. They should be easy to differentiate from the actual greens and flags, but they are distracting.
