Good course, excellent greens, But…
Courses in great shape greens are the best I’ve seen in years. However, they did not honor the GolfNow online price. When we arrived, we were charged six dollars more per golfer than quoted in golf now reservation. Even with a Golf Now email showing the price, they would not honor it. Very bad customer service, felt like a bait & switch when we left. Any other product or service I’ve ever bought honored the price listed, and if it was wrong, the merchant should fix it after they honor the quoted price to that customer. Very disappointing!
Decidedly average - not worth $125
Played this during Masters Week and was underwhelmed, especially for $125. Pro shop staff unfriendly, borderline rude. Fairways and tee boxes shabby. Lots of downed trees. Traveled 30 minutes from Augusta. Should have played somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend.
Solid round
Course is in good shape. Consistent, fast greens. Should be an even nicer place to play in a few weeks once fairway grass wakes up!!
Course is in good condition
The course was upgraded last year with new greens. The course is in very good condition. The greens are very fast. If you haven't played this course lately due to past condition you should give it a try.
Very nice
this course is probably in better condition than any course near the Augusta area first time playing in almost 5 years they have turned this course around a 1000 percent the greens were in pristine condition and the fairways were awesome and the sand traps were in such great condition that I almost wanted to hit into them
The course was in great condition and the greens were fast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!
Great golf course to play! Open fairways and not a lot of hazards, but the greens are “FAST!” and deceiving when you try and read them. Will definitely play again!
There is a very tough, short par 3 on the back 9 though.
Aged well
I haven't played this course in about 15 yrs then it was like a cow paster back then, my congrat to the people who put money in it and who take care of the course great job. I will be back. I couldn't give it a 5 because I didn't deal with the staff no more than the person behind the counter when I check in. The price wasn't bad but when I drive from Augusta, Ga, its more than $30 but that golf, pay to play.
Great redo of greens.
Last time I played this course the greens were in terrible shape. They did an awesome job of redoing the greens. They are in excellent shape. Very fast. The only complaint I have is all the flags are the same color. There is no card on the carts to tell you if they are front, middle or back. Quite a few of the greens are elevated so it is hard to judge the position.
Challenging Greens!!
Belle Meade is a fairly laid out course with many opportunities to score, except the greens are the main defense for this course!! Figure out the greens and you'll have a great round here. Recent renovations are holding up and conditions are good. Driver not needed on all holes from white tees, will probably consider the blues next time as placement seems more consistent. Had a good time playing this course.
Thomson golf
The course was in good shape. The greens were firm and hard to hold but pitted true. Lots of improvements underway. A bit distracting but in the long run should make playing better.
Course with potential
I scheduled a round here based on hearing about recent updates to the course. The layout was fun. The back 9 requires a variety of choices off the tee in order to get a good 2nd shot. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape. The greens were firm though. Watched several good shots land in front of pins and roll off the back of the green. Driving range was not ready during my round but was told it was a week away. Updates are still in progress with respect to signage. Grounds crew did their best to stay out of the way. Will plan to visit again for a round.
Complete turnaround
Wow! The last time I played here the course was worse than bad but today was like playing a completely new course. The greens were great, fairways were green and consistent. My only issue was that I was a single behind groups of 6, 5 and 3... I ended up playing the front nine twice because they were stacked up on 10. Even when I started on number 1 again, I had to hurry and get in front of another group of 5. I understand it’s a good ole boy kind of golf course but groups of 6 and 5 on a Saturday is a little too much.
