Greens had just been aeration, poor putting conditions.

Very friendly service and nice scenery at this course. I always enjoy playing here. The only drawback was that the greens were punched and sanded and I would have liked to know that before I booked the round. Otherwise a pleasant round.

Tee time availability was good. Three holes were cart path only when we arrived. Greens were aerated and sanding was taking place which we did not know about ahead of time (when making the tee time). No discount provided for that. Pace was very good and was able to get out 20 minutes early.

This is a very different course with a links type layout for about half of the holes. Then the other half are more like typical mountain style with curves and elevation changes as they wind through hills. The day I played the greens were great, very true bent grass. I had 7 one putts ranging from 3 feet to 50 feet. My only cons - it was crowded for my 10:40 tee time so I waited behind a 3 some all day. They were not interested in letting me join them, or in letting me play through. So I eventually skipped #10 and zipped around the back 9. Decent driving range and club house, gas carts which you often see when you have a lot of hills. Definitely worth the drive, especially if you can get a Hot Deal.

Course needs to have a beverage cart or water coolers on the course. On hot humid days waiting until the turn or the end for something cold to drink can be hard or even dangerous in extreme heat.

First time playing here and it did not disappoint in any way shape or fashion! Beautiful scenery and the course is well kept, holes are pretty well spaced out and the fairways are huge for the most part! The GPS system and no cart areas can get confusing but other than that it’s actually handy telling you the yardages and what not! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to golf!

The course is in excellent condition. Greens are fast and receptive. Keep it in the fairway though because the rough is brutal. Excellent test of your golfing skills.

The course is a far price for the condition and layout of the course. Keep your ball in the fairway because the rough is hard to get out off.

Most of the fairways are wide and in wonderful shape. The first cut of rough is reasonable, but the heavy rough (1 ft or higher) is impossible (if you can find your ball). Nevertheless, the course is in the best shape it has ever been in. Treat yourself to great conditions, but bring a lot of extra balls.

Callahan is in my rotation of good value courses around Atlanta. Playing conditions were fine. Greens not very fast but played consistently. A couple of teeboxes had longer graas playing from the tips. Fairways were nice. The layout is a mix of field "links" golf and undulating holes with more trees. For the value, I am always happy to play. The only weak side is the slow pace of play during weekend rounds. I have not played outside of weekends, so I don't know if it always the same.

Course is in good/average condition a little hilly. 1st hole is unusual. Par 3's are challenging. Staff is friendly and helpful.
