About
Pukalani Country Club has a unique location at the 1,100-foot elevation of the famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name means “House of the Rising Sun.” The dramatic elevation offers breathtaking views that span the West Maui Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The golf course features wide, undulating fairways and fast, sloped greens. The gently rolling terrain can cause some tricky uneven lies. There are trees and well placed bunkers scattered throughout to provide further challenge. Pukalani Country Club has a unique feature on the par-3 third hole. The hole gives golfers the options of hitting to one of two very different greens, one which requires a tee shot over a tree-filled gully and another that requires a shot beyond a cliff to a pal tree-lined green.

Pukalani Golf Experience
While this golf course is somewhat farther to get to, it is well worth the extra travel time. The course is well maintained, it's a great layout and the staff are friendly. However, the clubhouse/coffee shop are simply a pair of utility trailers lashed together so don't expect to have a fine dining experience after your round! Overall though, Pukalani is a great value for money.
Good course. Weird check in rules
We showed up for our T-Time about 45 minutes early and were told we couldn’t check in until 28 minutes prior. Not very convenient
Nice surprise!
When you come in in the gravel-parking lot and see the pro shop ( mobile home); and the old golf carts you wonder…..
But the course is very nice to play!
The tee offs are ok but the greens are really nice. Not too rapid and good for mountain courses!! Every holes are surrounded by the magnificent Norfolk island pine trees!! Good value! I recommend it strongly!
Slow Motion Play
We had to jump all over the course trying to avoid slow play. Not sure we will be back again.
Great alternative to pricey courses
The course is in great shape for the money. Carts are old with no GPS. Not a country club atmosphete. We will definitely be back for good, cheap golf. Upcountry drive is beautiful and not touristy.
Pretty, great value!
Forget the temporary clubhouse and restaurant... It's a pretty course in great shape. Some bumps in the trail, but overall interesting, pretty, and great value for your Maui Buck,!
An Affordable Golf Round in Hawaii!
Had an enjoyable experience at Pukalani! We booked through Golf Now and got a discounted price, which was a bonus! The check in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The fairways and greens were in good shape. Sand traps weren’t the best but it didn’t affect our games.
So glad that there are still some affordable local courses in Hawaii as we can’t all afford to golf the expensive resort courses!

We play here every time we come to Maui. Great value, good sales, fun course, pretty views.
Course kicked us off at 1730 before finishing our round.
Rough Around the Edges
No clubhouse, carts are dated and no real cart paths but, out of all the local courses this course had the best layout from the back tees, hands down. If you allow yourself to get past the rough edge items this course it a solid track.
