Kahili Golf Course
About
Kahili Golf Course is positioned on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains, offering picturesque views of the regal Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean.
The world-class layout is a popular stop for visiting and local, amateur and tournament golfers alike. The par-72, 6,554-yard course, constructed in 1991, was designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright.
Elevation changes are the norm at Kahili, with par 3s on the back side laying up and downhill to small greens. A lake and a dry creek bed are in play on the front side, making accuracy a necessity. And the par 5s are short enough to give long hitters a chance at birdies and eagles.
Kahili features beautiful practice facilities with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. Golfers can relax after a round at Kahili Restaurant, which offers good food at value prices. Also, for golfers with larger party needs, the Nahele Banquet Room is the ideal location for weddings, reunions, business meetings and seminars.

Kahili Golf Course Photo submitted by vhendersontr6 on 10/17/2012
great day for golf
We found this to be a beautiful course and thoroughly enjoyed it. The winds started gusting which made it challenging but did not detract from our enjoyment. I would recommend this course to the budget minded as we believe it to be a good deal.
attentive, friendly staff
Staff was friendly, attentive and efficienr. Greens were not in good shape.
This course combines challenging holes with great views
This is a great course to play while visiting Maui. The course was in good condition and has holes that will challenge players of all abilities. Great view of Haleakala at sunrise. Excellent value. Plan to play here again. Mahalo to the staff!
Great value with scenic views
Well maintained, fair and scenic course - just one negative. An extremely condescending staffer at the bag room refused to provide the men's rental clubs I had requested on our first encounter. There were lots of women on the course, so I feel certain that this is a women-friendly facility with one jerk who represents the whole staff VERY poorly. Everyone and everything else was most enjoyable.
Wonderful challenging course
Stay in the fairway as the rough is tough and stay off the slopes too. The greens can be tricky and you run into many optical illusions. Make sure you know where the mountain is (hard to miss) and where the ocean is. Heed the video tips off the GPS.
Good shape
First make sure to check with course directly for prices--Friday has aloha rates ($49) which were cheaper than golf now rates!
On windy days the course can be a monster; without wind it's an easy resort course. The facilities are great except for a tiny practice putt area. Carts are gps enabled which is a plus. The course was in great condition when I played! Slow greens.
Great views
Windy day made for some difficult holes.
Pace of play was very slow.
Windy part of the Island
Staff attentive and friendly, lots of smiles. Golf course rough is tough to hit from. Wind blows stronger here than most places on the island. Course in decent shape good value for the money.
Kahili GC
This course is a gem. The staff was very friendly . They have a beautiful clubhouse/pro shop. The course was in a good condition with wide fairways and fast greens. The course layout was challenging but not overly demanding. The most difficult thing to deal with was the Wind. It was blowing up to 30-35 mph at times. I drove 35 minutes from Kanapali to play this course . Well worth the commute for the value. I would highly recommend Kahili to anyone visiting Maui or if you are fortunate to already live in this paradise .
Great Value for the money!
This course is very beautiful and very well maintained. Worth every penny we paid! The Greens are "true" but very hard to read! Maybe a little too easy for the low handicap golfer, but still certainly challenging particularly from the back tees!
And for a bonus, the views and vistas are spectacular - very friendly staff. Overall a very good experience and fun day.
Great Course - No Warm up
Only reason I didn't give this course a five star rating was the inexplicable excuse for having the range closed until 830 AM for 'mowing'. I realize this isn't your average HI resort course, but there needs to be a review of that policy. OTHER than that very nice people, course was fun, well maintained, nice vistas and quite windy. Played havoc with a few shots but kept us cool in the tropical conditions so made the round very pleasant.
Pro shop fantastic
Fantastic course found the pro shop very helpful and friendly, course is in great shape as I remembered it from two years ago.
corvette
This is a very good course some hills but fair.we had very little wind. This is a good value course.
Lots of different looks and elevation change.
good views
I really enjoyed my round. The staff were very nice accomadating and friendly. It was a great value at the price.
Would play again if I had the time.

Nice views
Always treated well at this course. Clubhouse and Cart staff treat me well, as I am a local.
A Maui Must!
Our second visit to Kahili, but certainly not our last! A beautiful layout, well maintained, with outstanding staff always ready to help. In an Island gone mad with golf prices, this gem has kept its costs reasonable, while maintaining its excellent condition. I heartily recommend this course for all levels of golfing vacationers!
Add to Your Maui Options
Wonderful option for those not wanting to pay Maui's sky high green fees. Lots of varation in the terrain but very playable. Plan on some wind. Forward tees are very friendly for short hitters. Definitely a course worth playing. Very welcoming staff
Great course, great views
The course was in very good shape, the best greens so far of several courses played, the greens are the most challenging part of this course, difficult to read and they can be quick. We played the early Fast Pace special but it was all but fast, took 4.5 hours to complete because of waiting on each hole. Overall the course was definitely a very good value and I will most difinitely play it again.
Kahili Great Value
I played Kahili, The Dunes and both courses at KAnapali. I rate Kahili the highest of the four courses. Very scenic, well maintained and fun to play. Best value of the courses mentioned.
