Kahili Golf Course
About
Kahili Golf Course is positioned on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains, offering picturesque views of the regal Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean.
The world-class layout is a popular stop for visiting and local, amateur and tournament golfers alike. The par-72, 6,554-yard course, constructed in 1991, was designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright.
Elevation changes are the norm at Kahili, with par 3s on the back side laying up and downhill to small greens. A lake and a dry creek bed are in play on the front side, making accuracy a necessity. And the par 5s are short enough to give long hitters a chance at birdies and eagles.
Kahili features beautiful practice facilities with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. Golfers can relax after a round at Kahili Restaurant, which offers good food at value prices. Also, for golfers with larger party needs, the Nahele Banquet Room is the ideal location for weddings, reunions, business meetings and seminars.

Challenging course
Course was nice and staff was very friendly. You will need to hit some good shots to play this course well. It's challenging but fair. It will be one to play again.
Play here every visit to Maui
I come here every year. The staff are very friendly, course is normally in very good shape and the course challenges you with the ever present strong winds. I happened upon the Aloha Friday special for $49 this time and what a value. Also recommend eating at the restaurant when done. My wife and I had their buffet, fish and chips, salad, Kula pork and cabbage, dessert and drink for $12.95. It was excellent and at an unbelievable price for Maui.
breezy golfing
I have played Kahili many times over the years and this trip twice so far. The staff are great and Dawn the starter (always happy and chipper) will get you all set. There is always a breeze but that just adds to the challenge. Sometimes gentle and sometimes gusty. Hey you,re golfing in Maui!
Good times
First time at this course. .friendly and helpful staff good course for an average golfer ...can't wait to come back
Fantastic course
Great views of the whole island from atop the hill side course. Lots of elevation changes and wind make the course particularly challenging. Fairways still a little spotty in some areas, but the course was very well kept overall.
Nice layout with fantastic wiews and they have an awesome lunch
I booked my deal before leaving for Maui and got a great price of about $33. Since my wife doesn't golf, she went for a ride along and they charged me an additional $26. I felt that was a bit steep, considering the cart has two seats and she doesn't make divots. As this was my first time playing Kahili, I needed to stop myself at each tee box to make sure that I took in the views. This course was well manicured, but for me I did find it somewhat ifficult to read the greens, therefore I had too many two putts, but I did manage to putt better on the back nine, so I was figuring them out. As Kahili is on the side of a hill, There are many ball above and below your feet shots, so if you don't hit it straight, be prepared for trouble. Even though the fairways are wide, I did manage to lose some balls, but that's no fault of this course. I know I'll never make a living at playing golf, but I enjoy getting out and finding new challenging courses. The staff was friendly and the lunch was really good. I had the $9 burger and it was excellent quality beef. The waitress said they grind their own beef. My wife had the Asian salad and she really enjoyed the dressing. I will golf kahili again before heading home to the mainland and I should drop strokes from my first time.
First time player in Maui
To begin, I would like to compliment the staff at this course. I can't say enough good things about their courtesy and helpfulness. For this reason alone I would return. The course conditions were outstanding. The GPS on the cart was helpful with tips for playing each hole (if only I would have listened) except the par threes. If it were not for the deadly wind, I would have had the round of my life. Doesn't everyone say that? Anyway, despite the periods of disaster at the hands of the wind, I will be back for at least one more round before I leave. This is an enjoyable course at a reasonable price.
Awesome views, great course layout
We golfed 18 holes and did not feed the nene geese :) we really enjoyed the course layout. There was a lot of wind but it was either coming right at you or from behind you. Not a lot of cross wind. The golf carts and staff were nice and we will golf here every time we are in Maui
excellent day of golf
Beautiful views, beautiful venue, very fair course in good condition with interesting holes that cause you to play different shots. I would definitely play it again.
bring your camera
This course was in great shape except for the greens which had been aerated the previous week (played a little bumpy ).
The course offers scenic views of Maui as you play along the mountain side.
The long and short holes of the course have their own challenges but when the trade winds pick up it's a whole new ball game.

Kahili Cutrate
This course was challenging and fun to play. GPS and advice off the tee help first timers to easily navigate each hole. Keep the ball out of the rough unless you brought a machete. Excellent hillside course with some nice views of the ocean and valley. Only downside was that wasn't told greens had just been aerated. Still, all in all pace of play was good, great carts, and lots of holes that challenged you to play the course, not just pull out your driver on every tee.
Beautiful Course
loved this course. will be back!! nice views and well maintained great staff and facilities.
Trade Winds Golf
Gorgeous grounds and views. The. trade winds provide relief from the heat but increase the challenge of play. Beautiful!
Fun in the sun
Kahili is located on the hillside between Maalaea and Kahalui. Such a beautiful location. Many panoramic views.
We arrived early to utilize the practice facilities. The driving range is all grass with two putting green areas.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Cold towels at the end of the game and clubs cleaned as well.
The golf carts were in very good condition equipped with GPS that will give you a run down on each hole to give ideas as how to play and get on the green as quickly as you can.
Some of the holes had hazards of water or rock, just to keep things interesting. The biggest challenge is the strong winds, definitely made it interesting!
Be aware that dress code is enforced, collars needed.
All in all we had an enjoyable game and will play here again.
Best golf value on maui
Course is always entertaining. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes windy but was not this week
Best Value on Maui
This course has to be one of the best values on Maui. We played before 8am and there was little wind. The rates were incredibly inexpensive for a course as good as this and with the amenities that it has. My wife and I played for $59 each when booked on Golfnow.com
The views are stunning and this is a surprisingly good layout. The staff was excellent, the carts are in like new condition with state of art GPS, and coolers stocked with ice. If you are golfing on Maui don't pass up this course!
Windy but great
The view was spectacular. Some holes the wind was so great that your ball was carried with ease. I enjoy it. We were paired with another twosome and had a great time. Would love to play again.
Great value on Maui
For anyone who believes there are no good golf values on Maui they should try Kahili. The service was excellent, a good range, great GPS on the carts, beautiful views, and most importantly an interesting golf course.
Great Course!
Really a nice course, we'll kept and a very friendly staff! Play early due to the windy conditions in the afternoon. Fun and challenging greens! Enjoy!
