Tamarack Golf Club

Fairways and greens were good. Bunkers basically lack sand and are full of weeds. Tee boxes are not level. Course needs a face lift.

No complaints at all. The course was in great condition

So I have golf there for $19 with a cart at least twice a year for the last 2. They had this great deal for 15 with cart after 3pm on weekday. Great right… well when I got there they told me that they have been having problems with GolfNow. They have been trying to change their special to 15 “without a cart” is this correct ? Or is this a marketing tactic to get me in and charge us more ???

I only booked a tee time at Tamarack because of the good deal I thought I was getting. On the Golf Now app it states that a cart is included with the tee time fee. However, when I checked in that wasn’t the case. The clubhouse employees stated that there is an issue with Golf Now and they need to resolve it. Essentially stating that it’s not their problem and I need to pay extra to use a cart. I believe they should honor what is online if they are using this service for more revenue. I was not a fan of the customer service and I don’t know if I will be coming back anytime soon. Which is sad because the course has good potential but the upkeep and lack of customer service really shows!!!!

I need to give them a bye partially because it is March in the Chicago area so greens/fairways/sand traps were rough.

I do not understand though how you can't have scorecards available. I would think most golf enthusiasts do like to track their score.

The reality is their course has been in a continuous state of decline over the last 10 years which is reflected in how few people were there in spite of their relatively low price. When I booked, almost all tee times were available, while a municipal course several miles away was mostly booked.

I only booked this course because that municipal course didn't indicate they were going to be open.

Due to an accident I am no longer able to walk a golf course. When I booked my round at Tamarack with Golf Now, it included a cart. When I arrived at the course they told me they were not allowing carts on the course. The weather was 50 and sunny and the course was dry. The only reason I can think of for not having carts out was a lack of staffing. Cashier also told me the cart issue was a Golf Now listing error and there was nothing Tamarack could do about it. There was no apology and no rain check. The staff told me that I could either walk or take it up with Golf Now. Wow, I can't walk! I have never been treated with such disregard. This was just bad.

I can not walk without assistance. I paid through Golf Now for golf with a cart. I was charged for golf with a cart. When I arrived at Tamarack I was informed it was walking only. I checked my reservation and I clearly paid for a cart. The staff was not accommodating at all. I couldn’t get my money back or a rain check. This is extremely poor service in my opinion specifically to someone with a disability. I’m simply out of luck? That’s bad.

Overall the course was in great shape for November. The bunkers need a major overhaul.. The layout is challenging for all levels . Hope next year they do some upgrades with the bunkers and the tee boxes.

due to the weather tee boxes were up. course can be challenging from back tees. think about 7000 yards from tips. nice course to play a few times every year.

Pricing going up and parts of course getting a bit better but sand still in desperate need of help.

Last 3 times I've been there the golf cart couldn't make it through 9 holes. I used to love playing course cause was good bang for the buck! Now update things and better the course then raise a bit. Again don't mind the play of the course! Also there never is any sort of organization to people in teeing off as far as pace of play.

Hole one we hit our first ball and didn't even walk into green yet to putt and here goes not one but two balls right in on us! (Great shots BTW) but this is the kind of crap happening more and more!

Water in play on most holes, and narrow fairways make for a pretty challenging course. Greens are pretty decent, mid fall season, some holes today were cut in a very challenging spot. Bunkers are my really only issue with course. Some are ok, but a couple were just abandoned all together it seemed like.

No starter, so people were just going out whenever. Paid more attention to the party that was going on than the golfers. Was busy, so they started sending twighlight golfed off the back, between people that had tee times. Played the front in two hours, back took 2:40. Many carts were dying mid round, ours died on 15.

First group out last Saturday morning. Bunkers haven’t been raked or worked in a very long time. Ball marks on a lot of greens and geese poop overtaking the 16th green. A small amount of work around the greens would go a long way to making this a consistent play.
