Woodlands Golf Club, which sits only 30 minutes from St. Louis, is known for having some of the area's best greens. The putting surfaces roll true and hold well on the approach. This public course has garnered a local following thanks to not only its green conditions but also the affordable rates. With a diverse landscape and unique hole designs, it's definitely a shot-maker's layout. You'll probably use every club in your bag on this golf course. A long creek winds across the entire layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. Although Woodlands Golf Club is relatively short at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, it feels much longer thanks to a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic.

Great Value
They are making great strides in bringing this course back to life. Still work to be done, but all-in-all a great job thus far. The course is a great value at under $50.
Super Friendly Course
This golf course is super nice with creative and challenging holes to compete with friends. The staff are super nice and welcoming. Only issues I have is for a first timer, it’s hard to find the first hole. The pace of play was alittle slow but that was probably because of the weather. The 18th hole is beautiful with the clubhouse in the background. Will play here again for sure.
Great time
I’ve played here 4 times in the past month and still not tired of it, current favorite course.
Worth the money
The staff in the pro shop and 19th hole bar are friendly and welcoming. My first time here and they advised the signage on the course was faded and if I got lost to call the pro shop and they would direct me to the next hole.
I only got turned around on the last couple holes..
They’ve been doing work on hole 1 for months and it doesn’t look like there is an end in sight. Overall the greens were good. But the fairways were burnt, dry, and full of holes and ravines. The rough felt like and overgrown dry lawn. The water coolers throughout the course we’re empty (not cool for a 95 degree day) and there were no bathrooms on the back 9..
For less than $40 for 18+cart it wasn’t a bad price for what you get.

1st week tournament was not told
2nd week multiple groups of 5 and 6 players
3rd week yet another tournament and double booked the t time
Nice Surprise
Played this course awhile ago and it was not in good shape. They have done a lot of work and it shows. Greens, fairways and tee boxes all in excellent shape.
Great course
I play generally around the Missouri stl area but after playing here once I’ll be coming back frequently. The course is set up great it was a bit wet when we went but it just stormed bad so no blame.
Awesome course!
Loved playing this course. Club house is beautiful with a friendly staff. Great layout, fun holes. Challenging but not too much from the whites. Starting cold but range is under construction. Tee boxes were rough but otherwise amazing. Will be playing again.
won’t be coming back here again
i’m going around the St. Louis and Illinois areas trying to find new courses that are not crazy in price and I stumbled upon Woodlands and honestly not too happy with the conditions of this course. All the Teebox were in horrific condition more dirt than grass. the fairways were overgrown and not very good and there were quite a few spots on the fairways that were straight dirt. The grass around the greens was not very good either and the greens were just Average they were the best part of this course. The one thing that really annoyed me about this course was the amount of bugs there were they were in your face every single shot while you’re driving while you’re just standing there it was truly annoying. The staff were friendly so nothing to complain about there. I for sure won’t be coming back here anytime soon but I hope this course can figure it out over the summer because it could have a lot of potential.

Tee Boxes
Everything was very good at the course except the white tee boxes. Nearly every hole's white tee box was barren without grass and mostly dirt.

Great bang for your buck
I look forward to playing The Woodlands again once the fairways grow in. Played in early spring and conditions were ok/good, but not great. Still, would definitely recommend it for the price and an easy drive from the STL side.
