Woodlands Golf Club, which sits only 30 minutes from St. Louis, is known for having some of the area's best greens. The putting surfaces roll true and hold well on the approach. This public course has garnered a local following thanks to not only its green conditions but also the affordable rates. With a diverse landscape and unique hole designs, it's definitely a shot-maker's layout. You'll probably use every club in your bag on this golf course. A long creek winds across the entire layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. Although Woodlands Golf Club is relatively short at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, it feels much longer thanks to a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic.

Bad deal…
Golf now said cart was included, yet Woodlands charged me $17 per person even though we road in one cart. So paid $90 for 18 holes. Not a good deal. Plus greens were bad.
Great time. The only reason coarse conditions were not a 5 is , they're doing work on the greens. Will be excellent when work is complete.

Greens were just aerated
The reason for the average Course Conditions is that the greens had just been aerated a day or two earlier. Made putting a challenge. What I do for these conditions, I take a max of 2 putts until the greens are back to normal.
Like the course, but it needed some love...
I've played Woodlands a few times and it's one of the courses I'd say is in the list of top courses I play in this area. But for whatever reason, this time the course was not in the best condition. Maybe due to the extreme rainfall we've had over the previous weeks, but the course is in much need of some loving.
I'm sure they'll get it back to its normal condition...at least I hope so.

Upkeep
Greens and fairways were miserably taken care of, The cart was in pieces, the pathing between holes is atrocious you literally have 10 chances to run into other golfers going the opposite direction on the same path. Other than that some holes were very fun to play with the way it was designed.

People are just doing what they want not playing golf
There is no ambassador or starter people on the course are playing random holes 4 or more balls driving across fairways they are not on it’s just a free for all it took 4 hours to play 10 holes at that point we couldn’t take it any longer we left and went to a nearby course

Should Be Better
The first thing I noticed was the golf carts lined up in the parking lot were all dirty, pretty much all had torn seats, and some had other broken parts. Next, the clubhouse was very dated looking, and the snack bar only offered hot dogs for cooked food - and only had 1 available in the middle of the day.
The tee boxes were mostly in fair-poor shape, the fairways were fair-average condition, the rough was patchy, but the greens were in decent shape, only covered in debris most of the time. The course layout is interesting, and pretty tough, with a lot of 90 degree doglegs, some narrow fairways, and some longer par four holes.
My guess is that they are suffering a shortage of workers like everybody else, and that has taken its toll. If they could improve the condition of the course, update the clubhouse and the food choices, and hire some more people all around, it could be a nice course. But for now, I probably won't play again - there are just too many better choices.
Great course with plenty of obstacles
All the rain we had recently made it a little wet but overall in great condition. The total yardage might be shorter but club selection is key.
