Woodlands Golf Club, which sits only 30 minutes from St. Louis, is known for having some of the area's best greens. The putting surfaces roll true and hold well on the approach. This public course has garnered a local following thanks to not only its green conditions but also the affordable rates. With a diverse landscape and unique hole designs, it's definitely a shot-maker's layout. You'll probably use every club in your bag on this golf course. A long creek winds across the entire layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. Although Woodlands Golf Club is relatively short at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, it feels much longer thanks to a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic.

Good Friday golf
Still waiting on grass in the fairways just like most courses but their greens were awesome, it and fast but roles smooth.

Wasted Saturday
Went and tried out this course with a couple buddies on a saturday and turned into a 6 hour round… for 3 people. They had a tournament that ran long and at one point (on the 9th hole) there were a total of 17 people on one hole. 9 carts on one freaking hole, all waiting to hit. The absolute worst way to enjoy a round. No money back, no apologies, no efforts to speed up the play. Finished 18 in the dark. Won’t be back.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Not great
They have changed the layout completely and it makes little sense. Couple that with shaggy greens that have large patches of dirt and weeds growing in the middle of a good portion of them. It is honestly mind boggling how they would change the layout of the entire course and not have signs up letting you know which way to go. I know some will say it shouldn’t be too hard to figure it out but with this course that is not the case. Driving carts back across entire holes to get to the next one. Make sure your drink has a lid too, cart paths are ridiculously in poor shape. Wish I would have taken pictures.

This time that I played worse condition I have ever seen this course. Hope it was just this time. Greens were not taken care of dew was not cleared off and diseased.

Woodlands is always good for a decent round. The greens are coming back nicely after aeration, and not too many ball marks which is incredible here in the the Metro Least. My only complaint is get the water jugs back out on the course! 105 degree feels like temperature made it a death march! I surely hope it’s still not the China virus fear keeping them from putting it out. Newsflash NO ONE ever caught it pushing a button on an igloo cooler in the world!, in the words of Brandon “ C’mon man!”
