Great Value
Very good for the money. I've played courses in worse condition for more money. Would definitely go back and play again.
Ridiculous
No excuse for the awful pace of play, except for greed. They had two outings going on at the same time and still accepted my online tee time, which was non-refundable. It took over 5 hours to play the round. If you plan on playing Antioch, make sure you have nowhere to be for the rest of the day. No rangers at all, so you have a twosome in back of a twosome in back...you get the point. Buyer beware!
Reasonable Nice Course
NIce Course. Staff is friendly. But the course lay out is a little complicated for 1st time golfer to go for one hole to another (for certain holes). Will be helpful to have bigger signs for direction. Also the marking for distance from fairway to green can be improved to help the golfers. and speed up the game as well. It takes time to figure out the distance to green at time since the distance markers are not available, not clear or hard to find. Otherwise, I enjoy playing on this course.
No good!
Not a good experience. Saturday afternoon during warm weather and course had no beverage cart. The tee boxes were like concrete. After nine holes, tried to get a drink in the clubhouse bar, after waiting 30 minutes went back out without being served. Employee in pro shop was rude and had a terrible attitude. No concern for customer service throughout the entire experience. Do not reccommend.
Overbooked
Course was in good condition with the exception
of the tee boxes. (bring a hammer)
Never saw a ranger and slow players ahead caused
5 1/2 hour round.
Better places to golf
They seem to have stopped taking care of the course. Better places in the area to spend your money. The sand traps are the worst I've ever seen. Their essentially gravel. People in the area call it the litter box. It's not sand at all, mostly rock.
Great Place to play
I went here for the first time and was very pleased with my experience. There were only two of us. When we got there the first hole had three groups on it so I asked if we could go off the 10. Absolutely they said.
We played the back nine made the turn and got some drinks from the club house. We finished the round and never came up on another group and no one came up on us.
It was a great day to be on the golf course.
Feel Good Course
Course is on the shorter side, with under 300 yard par 4s and only one longer par 5. But its really fun to play, and you walk away with a better score and feel good about your game. Overall, I'd play this course again, and the little amount of waiting made it all the better.
Save Your Money
Worst course ever. No rule enforcement, terrible ground conditions and course layout. We were (2 players) cut off by a group of 7 at the third hole, so we skipped ahead to 5 which had no one before/after playing only to be stuck behind a group of 6 on the ninth hole. The tee boxes are about 80% divots, and the course is full of dead spots/patches of dirt and bark. We went to try and get a refund after 2 hours and 5 holes only for the pro shop to be closed. It was a total waste of time and money. Golf anywhere else and you will have a better experience.
Fun time!
Great starter course, easy, and fun to golf! I took my son there for the first time to play 18 holes. He had fun and it wasn't too much for him at the age of eight.
Good value for the Money
Paying only $28 through GolfNow, went up to Antioch G.C. with a bit of trepidation after reading some of the reviews here. Was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course, with the fairways in good condition, the rough thick in places as it should be. The greens could use a bit of work, but considering the winter we came off of, they were in better shape than some other courses I played. Fairways in spots were narrow, but really enjoyed the round and will play the course again.
Challenging But Reasonable
Great course for the average golfer. Beautiful surroundings and challenging greens. We had a great time!
worth the money
I am a beginner, so I don't need very good quality course. I came with my dad played just for fun. Everything was good there. The weather was hot. The beverage girl was everywhere when I didn;t need her and disappeared when I needed her badly.
Slow Play to the extreme
As is the case with many willing golfers, my curiosity was peaked with the visuals presented online with the Antioch Golf course. So I gave it a shot. The price was reasonable, which further swayed my decision to scoff at the amount of gas I would have to spend for the trip. Everything leading up to the first tee lead me to believe this would be an enjoyable round; the staff was friendly, the guests/players were in great spirits, the course, from the view from the elevated tee box, appeared to be in pristine condition. Unfortunately, the conditions of the course suffered the same afflictions as many of the municipal courses I avoid like the plague; burnt grass, no sand ( only a substitute of dirt or pebble infested wannabe sand), and multiple sections, both on the fairway and first cut, of mud spots. But that was not the worst of it. I could actually live with that. I actually enjoyed the pleasing layout. Unfortunately, with the level of play at that course, a ranger was needed to speed up play. By the 7th hole, there were FOUR groups waiting to tee off; this is regarded as a cardinal sin with golfers. Mind you, the first six holes required a wait of 5 to 7 minutes to tee off from the box.
A great confidence builder...
Played the white tees, lots of par 4s under 300 yards. Not for people who want a real fight from their golfcourse, but if you want to have fun, and a shot at scoring well, this is a great place to go. Worth the drive.
Pretty course
Nice greens, Course was wet due to recent heavy rain.
Condition
Best condition that I have ever seen at this course.
Enjoyable course
It's the second time that we have been here and enjoyed the course. We had a foursome in front of us that we caught up on the 7th hole that were very slow, young men in their mid 30's that did not play ready golf and stopped 10 min plus every time the young lady on the beer wagon came around. After the 9th hole we thought they had left only to catch up to them on the 12 hole, after waiting 15 min we went to have a beer and let a few hole pass.
3 hours for the first 9.
Great Value
Great layout and great shape for the price. Util I par the course, this is the one for me.
ok
Worth the $20-$25 riding if you can make it that far north to swing your clubs.
