Very slow play
In the past I have played this course in under 3.5 hours. 5/31/14 was 5+.
The starter didn't make singles or deuces hook up. The tee times were to close together. Better planning next time would make it more enjoyable and would avoid having to make tee times elsewhere if I was a first time visitor. My hopes, this is more the exception then the rule.
Good value for the discount
Got to the course and saw we could save 20 bucks thro Golfnow, so we did and was very happy how quickly the tee time was confirmed. Great day for golf, three and a half hour round for my twosome. Only complaint is about the course itself, the 18th hole is a par three...
Nice golf course to play
I played golf there many time and love to play there again.
Best conditions in 40 years!
A lifelong resident, I've played this course on/off since the 70's. Seen numerous owners over that time too. Conditions over the years ran the gamut, from good to god-awful.
This was the first time playing in a couple of years, but what a surprise over what was expected! The course was in GREAT condition, the employees very professional, and the food above par -- no pun intended.
Looking forward to playing again!
Slow
It's a short pat 70 but still took over 5 hours to play. It was horrible. There was no ranger so we were constantly waiting. Our group was a foursome and we were being held up the whole time by a group of 4 women. No one was infront of them. When I got to the course my group was ready to go off before this group of women but they refused to let us go first. Staff was not very smart. I will never play here again no matter what the price is.
Enjoyable course
Not challenging but pretty enjoyable. Some very interesting and challenging hole here and there. Not real hard but need accurate shot otherwise make you shameful. I like here good for shappening up shot.
First time here
Amazing value. Fairly easy course with a handful of beautiful challenging holes too. The par 3 number 6 was beautiful, never played a hole like it.
Feel like a rat in a maze.
This course has a crazy layout that crisscrosses through condo streets. The directions are poorly marked and turns are easy to miss. Finding our way to the next hole was a major challenge. Only the locals seem to know where they're going and they are only friendly to each other.
I've played on tight courses before but the land utilization on this one is very weird as fairways are way too wide in some places and way too narrow in others. One of the fairways has an old unused green right in the middle of it at the bend. A very strange to play your second shot from. After making the turn we were unlucky enough to get stuck behind an owner or manager of the course entertaining his buddies that had no clue about pace of play. And at one point we were joined by two juiced up guys who were just cruising around playing here and there. They invited themselves to join us and then left abruptly after 3 or 4 holes. All we could do was just shake it off and consider the experience "par for the course".
The price on Golf Now was very cheap but I would not go back to play again - even for free.
maintained well for the winter conditions
i enjoy the course every time i play it. ready to try again in the summer
Definitely get the bang for your buck.
Was told about this course from a friend, said it had been a couple years since he was there and it was i rough shape. Had to let him know the wife and I were very pleased with the course. We realize it is end of the year and some things were under construction. Over all we were very pleased, some very challenging holes.

Can be a real nice course needs attention. Fairways had a lot of bare spots. Greens were in a neglected stage. Bunkers were like a gravel road. Nice layout.can be a real nice golf experience if........9
Great value, but tight fairways
Antioch is a surprisingly good value for the money. The course is well maintained, and it has some nice, scenic holes. I don't know if you can do that much better for the price in Lake County.
Pros:
-Value
-Some Challenging Greens
-A couple scenic holes
-Decent hole variety
Cons:
-Tight Fairways - not forgiving for the high handicapper
-Winds through houses a bit too much, and can occasionally be very confusing - where's the next hole now?
-Distances seem imprecise (but with Smartphones, who cares?)
-Greens AND Teeboxes were being aerated on my last visit
Overall, I'd definitely play again for the price.
Scenic course layout at a good price.
The very scenic course provides a challenge for all variety of skill sets. A unique course layout provides a setting that winds throughout different houses, landscapes, and terrain. All skills of golfers will enjoy the challenge and will be rewarded not only with good shots, but with a beautiful view as well.
Big improvement
Was pleasantly surprised by all the improvements to the course and the amenities. Great value for the money. Will be first class when the cart paths are paved and the irrigation system installed.
Not coping very well with the lack of rain thru August 30th.
I took advantage of a golfnow deal of $11 for 18 + cart.
I think this could be a nice course for a park district course. Conditions were poor and there needs to be maintained and watered fairways. Also, the sand traps were extremely hard packed; it was like chipping off a mat.
the greens were ok. No bev cart on a 90+ deg day.
This course has great features and green is very nice
In general, the course is interesting, short and small number of bunker. So if you want low score , play on this course. Especially price is very nice for course.
Take antioch golf course and have a fun!
Great course for the price.
I enjoyed playing the course, and after GolfNow it was $28 for 18 and a cart. You cannot beat that. The course does run through the golf community townhomes...as a beginner, it was somewhat nerve racking as even a slight slice from a tee box could result in hitting the homes / cars around the course. Not every hole had this threat...but enough to make me wary.
The greens played fast...but were well taken care of. I enjoyed the greens the most.
Cheap Fees, Cheap Course
With a $28 weekend rate, you can't go into a course expecting much. Overall, it is not that challenging of a course. The greens were on the soft side, but not overly slow. Most fairways were cut short, with longer rough. There were a few tee boxes that needed major attention. Had the first tee time of the day, so got through the round fairly quick. As cheap as it is, I could imagine the course getting congested in the afternoon.
cant beat for the price
Course has really came around in the last two years, fairways are in great shape and seem to be very well maintained. greens are in great condition, tenfold compared to prior years(different owner/staff). roll true and are fairly firm as compared to prior years when you didnt know what your ball would do when you hit it. several tee boxes are the only complaint, uneven and bare in spots. other than that you cant really beat it for the price and condition of the course.
antioch golf course
Greens were in good shape, play was slow. Lots of beginners on the course so you have to watch out for stray balls as people do not yell four on wayward shots.
