I’ve played here in the past but this was my 1st time out this year. I was happy to see the course was in much better condition than I’ve experienced in the past and the greens were also in good shape. It was a good round. Keep the updates coming-nice job
Overall not a great experience
I’m not one to normally write reviews but I feel like it needs to be said. Played here for the first time and don’t think I’ll be back. Course was in fair condition for the time of the year but only downside was the lack of tee markers. By lack I mean there weren’t any. I understand that it’s the start of the season so I’m not going to harp on that. What was really frustrating was the pace of play and no starters or rangers on the course monitoring play. Adding to that was the crowd there. Nobody had a lick of etiquette. I’m not asking for everyone to treat it as a country club or we are playing for money. Since play was slow had to wait on teeing off on every hole. The group behind us would Park their carts right behind ours and not give a little space to breath. Was playing with my girlfriend and it was her first time playing 18. She’s golfed before many of times before but felt very rushed due to this. There were countless times where people would drive across our fairways as we were about to hit without getting the attention of us. After the third time it happened I felt as if they wanted to get hit so I didn’t bother to wait for them to clear. Obviously I didn’t hit them but if I happened to I wouldn’t have felt bad. Long story short if you want to golf here and see for yourself by all mean goes for it. For myself I don’t see myself golfing here ever again. It’s sad because I can only imagine of beautiful the course is in the summer.

Got off right away and maybe a 5 or 10 minute wait on about half the holes. The cart paths were in pretty bad shape but the greens and fairways were actually in pretty good shape.. I’ll be going back to play it again.
The worst place
Pace of play horrible, no rangers, hackers all over the place jumping from hole to hole, greens slow, fairways concrete, this place is a Warzone.
Gave Valley Ridge a Try
Greens were good. Fairways good. Sand nicely worked. Some tee boxes good, some chewed up. Cart paths were terrible: standing water, washed out, bumpy. Finding the next hole was difficult sometimes for golfers new to thye course.
Unbelievably Slow
Course was jam packed and terribly slow. It was in decent condition but waited forever in between shots. The group in front of me said that they are always full of people after 11am. I will not be going back.
Great afternoon
Today was a lot of fun. It’s a little on the short side which probably added to the fun. I’m not a long hitter so this course gave me a chance to score. Other golfers were very courteous and I thought it was a great value.
Decent Course at a decent rate
I got a 4 handicap course was very nice reminded me of lake barrington shores and renwood golf course at times shot a 70 probably will be back in the future!
Nice course for a great price
Course is in great shape some of the best in years. Pace was slow on a Sunday morning, 5 hours for 18, but that would be expected this time of year. If rough was cut down a little more before the weekend, the pace would probably increase. Cart girl hit us once per 9. Course runs through a neighborhood, with lots of great hole layouts and control was key. Great Value!
A Great Value
We bought the 3 year membership for our family, and we played last night. The course was in very good shape, and greens were better than I expected from previous years under past ownership. The course has come a long ways since then, bunkers were nicely raked and looked like some new sand was added. The fairways were mowed pretty tight and the greens rolled well, rough could be mowed a bit shorter, but I am just getting old and not so powerful.
