Arlington Lakes Golf Club
About
Arlington Lakes Golf Club is situated amid the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Locals treasure the course as one of the area's hidden gems. At 5,331 yards from the back tees, this par-68 layout is on the shorter side but don't underestimate its level of difficulty. Besides the mature trees that frame many of the holes and 14 lakes that come into play, there are more than 100 strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout also features small, sloped greens that demand accuracy but you can take comfort in the fact that there are no doglegs. With strategic shot-placement and a bit of luck, there are some birdie opportunities available. The shorter length of the golf course will appeal to beginners but it's versatile for more advanced players to enjoy as well.

Great place for the price. $26 online Hot deal. No one playing after very lite rain. Played 22 holes under 3.5 hours. Course is firm and fast. Greens pretty chewed up but ball rolling faster than normal. Playing there again so would recommend
Great course for all skill levels
I have played here a few times this summer and have always found the course in pristine condition. The people that work there are always so accommodating and nice. look it is not a long course, but has some really nice holes. You can really hone your wedge game here - tee off with a mid iron if you are an extremely long hitter and work on those irons!
Nice course, great conditions!
I hadn't played golf in well over two years, so I went with very low expectations about how I would do. This round was with my son, and was a mutual Father's Day present to both of us.
Things started a little rocky, as a foursome of HS girls teed off in front of us. It looked like it was going to be a very slow round. We got a great price, but that was because our tee time was at 5:04pm.
The ranger quickly came by and told us that the girls were finishing up on that hole (#10). Sure enough, we didn't have to wait again.
My game was nothing that I would care to comment on, other than I did have more decent shots than I thought I might. What I will comment on is that the course was very enjoyable. The layout provided challenge for this duffer, but not so much that it was frustrating. I did find the sand too often, but only lost one ball in the water. That's a win for me! I thought the greens were in decent shape, although it was apparent that many golfers in front of us didn't bother to repair their ball marks! Grrr.
We were able to play 16 holes before it got too dark to continue. I would definitely recommend the course, and I hope to get back to play it again, perhaps a little earlier in the day, and for sure before another two years goes by!
New and improved
Always liked this course. Made many changes for the better. Not a long course but it is challenging.
Great reconstruction
Fairways and greens turned out fantastic. Like the idea of switching the front and back nines for play.
Solid bang for the buck
Course, staff, amenities are all quite excellent. Pace of play has always been an issue at this course, yet it's tolerable. Good place for all range skill levels at this price point. 2pm weekend hot deal with cart for $23, can't beat it. More than helpful to provide a rain check for half the round, as was the case with this date of play.
Best staff in NW suburbs
This course has by far the best staff (check in people/ starters, etc.). Hey it's not a difficult course, but it is a lot of fun. You will rarely use your driver (you want to make sure your tee shot is in the fairway).
The only negative thing I can say is I think $5 for a cheap can of beer is excessive.
NICE TRACK FOR AVERAGE GOLFER
Played at 9:30am on a Saturday, and motored around in four hours just as we should. Enjoyed the course and the remodeled clubhouse.
Horrible Course Management
The management of the course is a joke. They do not manage tee times well and they're incredibly rude.
One time I played there and talked to 3 staff members before teeing off and not one of them told me it was cart path only. 10 holes later, a staff member comes out and insults me by asking if I could read because the cart path only sign was in the pro shop on the door.
Another time I booked a tee time on golf now and it should plenty of tee times open but when I showed up they were over booked and scrambling to get people off the first tee.
Overall, be prepared for a long round and to be insulted by their staff members.
Nice little course
Fair amount of bunkers, and some water hazards...straight hitters will do better. A lower handicap player would not find this challenging enough (only about 5500 yards), but great course for "tuning up your game"
Always enjoy playing at this course, plenty of challenges. Will definitely return.
The weather turned on us and the course offered no relief. While that was somewhat expected, I did not expect the staff to simply walk away from me as I was talking to them.
It was more than rude.
