Very different
This is the third time I played this course and I love it. The layout is a true golf experience layout. It's all about strategy and hitting the shot you need to hit. The course registers short at just 6,300 from the tips but don't let that fool you, it plays much longer. Course was in perfect condition and practice areas are wonderful. The only issue is pace of play with 4:45 completion on a Thursday. But worth it.
Fourth time here...
Normally, I have no problems with this course. But it seems that a lot of the patrons don't fix divots on the green, they don't spread the grassfeed into club divots, and they don't rake the sand after themselves. I try to do as much as possible if I have the time, even if it's not my divot to repair. I love this course, and I'd like it to not fall into waste like so many other courses to which I've gone; but at this rate, it looks like people who are golfing either don't know or don't care. It would help if a ranger goes around telling people to make sure to fix their own divots as much as possible, and even make sure the pace of play is smooth.
Greens are sloped well enough that it's challenging, but some greens are slower than others.
Tremendous course. Staff and facility is top notch. Challenging for the novice golfer, or more seasoned player. Greens are fast and well kept. This course is known for undulating greens - they are quite fun and differ depending on daily pin placement. The responsibility of the patrons to assist with green and tee box repair and upkeep would be helpful. The staff at Mount Prospect does a great job with the upkeep and maintenance - patrons could just play their part with upkeep. J. Rodgers / Mount Prospect, IL
A gem
After a long flight, I was looking for a one-day excursion and found this course near the transit hotel. It's a short but challenging course with very fast and well-kept greens. The staff was friendly, and although some parts were a little narrow, it was a good value for the money. I'll definitely play here again the next time I'm in town.
Love playing this course!
MP never fails to provide a challenging, yet satisfying experience. I’ve been playing there for 40+ years and never get tired of the competition it provides.
A little tricked up but playable and fun
This course is known for undulating greens. The greens are also not very big. Other quirky challenges include tiny green side bunkers and mounds of rough in seemingly random parts of fairways. The course is also rather narrow. All of this makes it more challenging than the numbers (especially overall length) might suggest. But it is playable and fun. I just wish players would use the free repair tools on the greens and the sand for the tee boxes.
Pretty good
The mounding and undulations around the green complexes are cool and give the course a nice look. Conditions were mostly good except for the thousand unrepaired ball marks on each green. Layout was solid but the par-fives felt gimmicky.

Ban List Candidate: How to Ruin a Perfectly Good Summer Round
This course used to be one of my favorites, but after this summer it may be off my list. I understand the heat and lack of rain, but the conditions are unacceptable. Teeboxes are chewed up, fairways are burnt out, and the greens are covered in unrepaired pitch marks. It feels neglected. For the price they charge, this is not worth playing until major improvements are made.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your recent experience did not meet expectations. You’re right — the summer weather has been challenging, and it has impacted the condition of the course in several areas. Please know that our maintenance team is actively working to improve the tee boxes, fairways, and greens as conditions allow.
We truly value your input and hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to show you the course at its best.
A beautiful day!!
I couldn't beat the senior price to walk this course. The temp was great at tee time (6:40 AM) and got nicer as the day went on. I played with 3 younger guys who were great. We followed a 4-some of walkers. We waited almost every shot on the front, which played in about 2:15. They played the back in 2 hours, and so did we!!!
I was very surprised at the number of unfixed ball marks on the greens. I fixed at least 2 every hole. They really need to encourage people to fix them. Still, a great course!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful day, the course, and your round with great company. We appreciate your feedback regarding the ball marks on the greens — encouraging all players to repair them is something we take seriously, and we’ll continue to remind golfers to help keep the greens in top condition.
We’re happy you still had a great experience and hope to see you back out on the course soon!
Thank you so much for the 5-star rating! We truly appreciate your support and are glad you enjoyed your experience. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
RAINED OUT/ DID NOT PLAY - PLEASE HELP W/ REFUND!
My 2some completed 1 hole and then were rained out. We are seeking direction on how to get refunded or a raincheck. The pro mentioned because this was a "hot deal" the refund needs to come from GolfNow. The App does not allow to request cancelation due to weather on the day of play. PLEASE HELP so we can get a refund or credit back!
