Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Baer Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole course that is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Baer, and Players. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations that offer a variety of different challenges. The nines have unique designs but all the courses share an undulating terrain and well manicured tees, fairways, and greens. Due to the quality of the design and excellent conditions, the course has been host to numerous events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. The Tournament/Baer combination features plenty of water on the front nine, while the back nine is more forgiving but still dotted with strategically placed bunkers. Schaumburg is a popular course not only because of the design but also because of the country club setting at public-course prices.

Beautiful Fall Day! Schaumburg Golf Course Photo submitted by silver92z on 10/31/2012
Fast greens, great conditions, extremely well run
Greens were excellent - fast, ran smooth and fair. Bunkers had compacted crushed sand. Tee boxes were fantastic. Fairways, rough, second cut, all fantastic. Rare to see a public course in this condition. Carts had GPS that showed distance from tee from all tees, and green slopes.
10 minute tee time intervals which is getting rare for public courses today, our foursome was done in under 4 hours with waiting only on a few holes. Staff accommodated a late tee time change.
Grounds were immaculate, clubhouse had a nice restaurant/patio. Everything top notch. Staff was friendly. Great facility. Would play here over and over and over again if I lived in the area. Completely understand why the tee sheet was full on a weekday.
No real complaints other than the range was mats and you don't get any free range balls to warm up, although to be fair this is rarely the case at any public courses. Wish I would have taken better photos.
Well kept course.
Everything about the course was really good. The greens were fast and pretty difficult to read. Had 8 more putts than other round this year. Everybody in the foursome struggled on the greens.
The cost of a riding cart was much more expensive than any course near it
Paulc
Schaumburg golf course is perfect for the golfer who
Does not like long greens, tight fairways and lots of water .
The course of golf friendly, well maintained ,
Water and bathrooms on every 9 holes .
I play it 2x a week and really enjoy the course
Country club like greens
Course was in excellent condition, with greens running as smooth and quick as most country clubs. Course was extremely fun to play, although not overly challenging. Played the Tournament/Baer combination, with the Tourament being the best of the 3 9s there.
Quality enjoyable course, classy great food n drink
Schaumburg is a great quality all around course. The conditions on the course give you the feeling that they care and are good at it. Great safe environment as well. Classy place. Super small criticism they need better ventilation in their bathrooms I can see hot weather etc. but get some fans going in them. Lol
Favorite quality course and I play a lot of different courses
Great
This course was great for the price. Highly recommend
Beautiful course
Well maintained, and a beautiful course. Challenging and fun
worthy choice
The Park District does a great job with this 27 hole layout, its always in great shape, staff and facilities are great, and pace of play is almost always good. A worthy choice to put in your rotation to play.
Great condition
Course is in amazing condition
Greens, tee boxes , bunkers and fairways
Play here 4-5 times a year and always in great condition
Nice Course and fun to play
I enjoyed the course and will play again. Having water jugs on the course was great and the yardage markers on the paths were nice. Well maintained course, fun to play and pace was good. I will play again. A little on the expensive side but nice
