Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Baer Course

About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole course that is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Baer, and Players. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations that offer a variety of different challenges. The nines have unique designs but all the courses share an undulating terrain and well manicured tees, fairways, and greens. Due to the quality of the design and excellent conditions, the course has been host to numerous events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. The Tournament/Baer combination features plenty of water on the front nine, while the back nine is more forgiving but still dotted with strategically placed bunkers. Schaumburg is a popular course not only because of the design but also because of the country club setting at public-course prices.

Staff does great to keep this a premier course in Schaumburg
fall golf
Have played here many times. Course was in good shape - leaves and ball marks on greens were a little bit of a problem. Having said that, pretty good conditions given it was mid-November!
Great course, annoying carts
Really enjoyed our round this weekend and was impressed how there was no signs of aeration and overall course conditions in November. The restricted zone locking the cart while on the cart part near each teebox and even the practice green was obnoxious. We could hear other carts on neighboring holes dealing with the same thing, but it seemed like the staff disabled it by the back 9 as it stopped happening. Otherwise the course was great
Hidden gem
This is one of the best facilities in NW suburbs. It gets no publicity but conditions are like a private country club a must play in the srea
Great Course and even after heavy rain the course still playabke
John Parson & his team always working hard to keep this course a golden jewel in Illinois… This course and with its staff deserve a Western Amateur Opening.
Thankful
The course was in beautiful condition. But most importantly, I left my phone in the cart and when I called the pro shop, they were empathetic and sent out the search party. They called me back as soon as they found it and I picked it up soon after. Good people.
Kicked out 7:30
Forget twilight here, cart constantly beeps at you for ~30 minutes before the course staff comes out and tells you to pick up your ball and bring carts in at 7:30 on the dot regardless of it not being dark out.
