Arlington Lakes Golf Club
About
Arlington Lakes Golf Club is situated amid the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Locals treasure the course as one of the area's hidden gems. At 5,331 yards from the back tees, this par-68 layout is on the shorter side but don't underestimate its level of difficulty. Besides the mature trees that frame many of the holes and 14 lakes that come into play, there are more than 100 strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout also features small, sloped greens that demand accuracy but you can take comfort in the fact that there are no doglegs. With strategic shot-placement and a bit of luck, there are some birdie opportunities available. The shorter length of the golf course will appeal to beginners but it's versatile for more advanced players to enjoy as well.

Short but challenging course
I enjoy playing this course . It's challenging with many water hazards. It's always kept in good condition
Slow pace and okay greens
I was really disappointed with our pace. On the 9th whole there were 8 on and 12 all waiting to tee off. Tee times are too close together and we were backed up all day for up to 15-20 mins on some holes. Very short course and par 68 with a decent amount of water. Probably will not go back as it's too much for what you get.
Short Course...put away the driver
Must place every shot...driver not needed. Some nice holes, challenge comes in the placement. Often advantage is to lay up a few yards out. Many traps with not much sand. Traps are very high. Stay in front, you do not know what is behind the green. Golf ears seem to be less than average. We played under three hours and still the group behind us still hit into us three times...this shows less than average ability.
tIGHT COURSE WITH MANY HAZARDS.
Arlington Lakes is a short, but very challemging 18 hole course with may sand bunkers and water hazards to challenge all golfers.
Grren wre being aearted, but still puttable.
Course demands precise shots.
Arlington Lakes
Beautiful course, some water, 9th hole fit for the PGA!
Nice staff, great quick pace of play. Water well positioned to challange any one. Good , fair bunkers.
Solid course
Good value overall. Good staff, deceat course conditions and consistent greens. Lots of traps around greens.
Nice course
Enjoy playing because low scores are a good possibility, greens are tough at times 3 putts a pain at times. The one problem I have with this course is the lack of yardage markers, always have to search for a sprinkler head marker, that are not easy to locate. However it's still a fun course for the money.
Sunday afternoon
This course would be great for a nice sunny Sunday afternoon outing where you can just go a nice leisurely pace.

Great day to play. Could, overcast, but our play was fast.
Good luck on the greens
This course is quite short tee to green. It's fine for the average player. But the greens...
First of all, I'm sure they were ridiculously hard and fast because of the winter. That's understandable. But in knowing this, some of the holes are cut in nearly impossible locations. There were at least four holes where I ran a putt six inches by and the green took it 8 feet away.
Other than that, the experience was pretty good. There was absolutely no crowd when we went, which was odd for a Saturday afternoon with ideal weather. I'd play here again if I needed a decent course to play for not much money.
This course has a good fairway.
This course is a nice place to practice if you want to improve. Very recommendable to all.

Good golf now deal
Not a bad course. Short and had some long rounds but worth it.
short but challenging greens
I like playing here if Its a discount price. I feel like I should shoot a good score because its relatively a easy, short course. But You have to hit and read the greens right too shoot low. Many of them are sloped and small. Three puts can attack you on almost any green here. My last 2 scores were +1 then +12
nice and straight. no doglegs.
Nice and straight. No doglegs.go OVER water twice. Two holes have water on one side. Two holes with water on both sides. Nice and straight
Good course but short and can take 5 hrs to play
I play here often and it can be a 5 hour round at times. The round I played on this day was extremely quick but that is a rarity.
Time consuming.
If you don't mind waiting 15 minutes per hole to tee off this is for you. Rangers are non existing. No one does anything about slow play. This is a classy sport. Not so much when no one will let you play through or people don't know enough to offer. Not even a good fist time course because no one should learn that way. Inconsistant greens and no one rakes the sand trap after being in it. Nothing like trying to hit your ball out of a nice deep footprint. Rude. Great price, but with all considered I would gladly pay 10.00 more somewhere else for better service and conditions.
It rained steadily, but mgmt gave NO rain checks.
Mgmt gave NO rain checks when requested by several golfers!
Later and straighter...
Used Golfnow for a tee time. Was there early and got right out for 18. Fun and challenging course easy to get to.

Nice short, well maintained course.
Nice course, pace moved very well with out any rangers. Staff was very nice. More water than I expected, but it was great to have a challenge.
The slow play is the worst for this course. 5 1/2 hours of waiting 5 minutes for every shot--when there is no rangers there is no regard for those gol
I have not played it in 20 years. And it will be 20 more before I go back...the worst slow play. No rangers to move people along--I went in the clubhouse after 9 and 4 guys were watching golf on TV and could care less. It was a nightmare.
