Arlington Lakes Golf Club
About
Arlington Lakes Golf Club is situated amid the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Locals treasure the course as one of the area's hidden gems. At 5,331 yards from the back tees, this par-68 layout is on the shorter side but don't underestimate its level of difficulty. Besides the mature trees that frame many of the holes and 14 lakes that come into play, there are more than 100 strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout also features small, sloped greens that demand accuracy but you can take comfort in the fact that there are no doglegs. With strategic shot-placement and a bit of luck, there are some birdie opportunities available. The shorter length of the golf course will appeal to beginners but it's versatile for more advanced players to enjoy as well.

Short enough for average golfers to play and enjoy
Course has some interesting features in terms of being short yet a bit tight in spots. The par 5 9th is a little challenge. Had a boom of a drive and a 9 Iron in over bunkers to a raised green. Hit is perfect but with narrowness of green it rolled off the back. Could still get up and down for birdie but little chance for eagle which is what I thought after seeing the 9 iron go.
Nice, tight course with challenging greens.
The course is a bit short, but has copious sand, water and trees. Accuracy is rewarded with many challenging birdie putt opportunities.
Rainy day wonder!
This is our go to course on "iffy" weather days. Drainage is great. The sand traps were soggy so that part of the game was challenging.
The greens on this course are cut like fairways at most places that I have played recently
It is quite difficult to tell the difference between the fairways and the rough and almost impossible to find a flat spot on most of the tees
Good for Park Dist Course
I have played this course a lot as it is close and reasonably priced. Average maintenance for a public course. Slight difference between the fairways and the rough from mowing, but not the high quality fairways found at higher end courses. The course plays short and tight with water on 40% of the holes and a moderate amount of mature trees. If you are a little wild off the tees, you will find yourself on another fairway for many of the holes - the nice part being that you will have a reasonable lie/shot. The greens are typical of most public courses and well maintained. I would give it a 7 out of 10. On a side note, avoid playing the night of the ladies social league (Thursdays I believe). These particular gals play sloooooowwwwwww. I left the course after taking almost an hour to play 2 holes and a tee shot from 3.
nice course for senior and women.
As senior nice and easy and enjoyable. Hopelly more courses be open for senior and women players.
short but diffcult
The staff was great the course was crowded but everything ran smothly. I really enjoy ed my round
Course was in great shape. Many traps and water hazards make it tricky. Accurate shots are required
the course is great at the price of 20.00
very tough course, a little to narrow. lots of older folks.
Great course. A little shorter than most, but reasonable from the back tees.
My second time to play here and will definitely be going back.
Pretty nice public course, pretty straightforward
The course is overall in pretty good shape. I played here in the summer and it was definitely in better shape, but you can't blame them for Chicago Fall weather. Greens and fairways were in good shape. The course needs more distance markers. They also only have the blue tees open, but the distances are not right. Staff was...ok. Not really friendly at all, but also wasn't rude or anything, just kind of neutral. They offere a good value for an 18 hole course. I'd say it is good for beginners to intermediate golfers. It has its challenging holes and angles, but most good golfers would probably find it easy as most of the holes are straight on. Good course, I'd play again especially for the price. Enjoy, FORE!
Nice viwe
I love it...............................
goooooooooooooooood.
greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
gollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllf.
Well maintained and closer from my home.
Have played at this course many times.Staff is great and helpful.
Not too expensive and it is in the center for all my friends who are playing with me..
Way too short (5,300 yds) for price; bad value
Play was very slow, the 5,300 yds took 4 hrs to play. Costs as much as other courses that are longer and more challenging. Wont be going back
Good fun course
The course was in very nice condition. The length of the course was short by todays standards, but for people my age (62), it was just right. It gave us a chance to reach most of the par 4's in regulation. The par 3's also were more fun because they were 130 yds to 170 yds instead of the 220 yd holes on some of these courses. All in all, we had a very nice time on a well kept course.
