course in very bad shape
Very bad shape tee box was dirt or weeds, sand traps had weeds growing in them, greens had bare spots the best holes were 15, 16 and 17. would not waste your money
Course was in very good condition , considering lack of rain lately. Disappointed that they didn't have appropriate staff for a holiday that was very busy.

Okay course
Ok but there was no ranger and took over 5 hours to play 18. Pace of play was the biggest issue. Course was in okay condition but recent drought can be partially to blame.

Terrible condition.
This is the worst course I've ever played on. The tee boxes were all dirt. There was no difference between the fairway and the rough. The bunkers were just wet dirt. Way too expensive for how terrible this course is. We will not be back.

Tale of Two Nines
Many tee boxes were dried out with very little grass. Many fairways were in poor condition as well with no real difference between the grass in the rough, except it was cut slightly shorter. A lot of bare spots. Bunkers had no sand, mostly dirt. Greens were in slightly better condition than the rest of the grounds. The course shares land with a ski resort on this property and two holes are literally played up and down ski hills. Ridiculous lay outs. Now, you make the turn and there’s are 3-4 holes on the back that are in very good condition. I think they were 14 - 16. It’s like you’ve entered a different course. Tee boxes and fairways with grass. Greens were in better shape and had been recently aerated and there was real sand in the bunkers. It’s too bad the rest of the course couldn’t have been maintained like these holes. All I can figure is the owners of the houses that line the fairways of these holes wouldn’t put up with looking out their windows at a course in the condition found on the other side. What a shame.

Decent course
Fairways mowed like rough but other wise nice track

Nice Course If Better Maintained
Course has great potential, IF they would have taken better care of it. 75+% of the Tee Boxes were burnt grass or no grass. Only 2 fairways were in "good" condition. The rest of the fairways were very dry, brown and a fair portion with dead grass. Greens were medium but had multiple bare spots on most of them. The course appears to be not watered at all - relying on nature, perhaps. We payed $52 riding on a Saturday. Course would be a good value in the low $30s (riding.)

Some balls spots so bad the ground itself was dried out and cracking.

Good Value

Save your money.
The good: Course layout is great. Great views and challenging fun holes.
The bad: Entire course needs heavy work. Tee greens are full of old divots. Some are mostly dirt. Fairways are rock hard and dried out. Some fairways your better off landing in the rough. Some greens are completely trashed and dried out with dirt patches. Would be a great course if it was maintained.

Course needs some work on fairways and greens.
Relatively tight course overall. Holes are nearly right next to each other. Fairways and greens had a lot of dry and worn out spots. There are better courses out there for the rates at Villa Olivia.

Villa Olivia
Not a $40 dollar course. Burnt greens, could not tell fairways from first cut rough and tee boxes could use work. I would play it again, but probably $25-$30 . Course layout was good and amenities were good

Overall good course
Course conditions aren't the greatest with the greens and fairways being a little patchy. Course has good layout and open fairways.

Fun Course
Interesting course. Park District property (I think) that doubles as a small ski hill in the winter so challenging verticals and sometimes hitting through a lift. Last 4 holes really open up.
