Cut the grass
The grass was so thick that it was difficult to find out balls, even in the fairway. If you missed the fairway, forget about it. Also, the views are obstructed which made it more difficult. Other groups were saying the same thing. I would never play this course again unless it was free.
Golf on February 20 in Chicago?
The snow was gone, the course was open, and for this time of year, a real bargain to get out and play 9 holes. The course was in good shape for this early in the year.
recommend this fall.
I want a recommend this course. Maintenance is good and nice design.usually lot a course on the green lot a leaf.but here is good condition.I think everybody enjoy and good play the golf.
Scenic back 9
Nice course for the money
Olivia
The course has been improved, but the cart and path still need improvement. It could be the budget issue and not many players, it could take time to go forward for further improvement.
Just an ok track, there are several better in the area.
Played on a last minute whim. Booked deal online through golf now for under $25 bucks. Course conditions were ok, the layout is a bit quirky. It is tighter than most courses in the area, with narrow fairways (bordered by houses and busy roads). Was nervous on several tee shots as the wind was heavy on the day I played and a wayward tee shot could be easily find OB.
There was not a ranger or starter on the course and play was slowed up by a group who did not understand golf ediquitte.
There are several other better options in the area so I likely will not return.
Ok
Title says it all. It's a ok course. A few holes need attention, greens with large patches of just dirt, fairways that were dry or full of weeds. Most holes were good. Played front behind a foursome, took 2:35. They did not play back and we finished in 1:25. No course official to speed up play. Some interesting holes, tight fairways, not bad just don't pay full price. $25 with cart is fair.
Good condition
I've played Villa a few times. The course is in the best condition it has been in many years. Tuesday midday tee time made for a speedy round.
Golfing a Ski Hill
Villa Olivia will definitely challenge the average golfer, which I am one. I enjoyed this course very much. Beautiful layout, lush green everywhere. I can't remember every Hole distinctly but this course has elevation changes, elevated tees, blind shots to the greens, some wide open fairways and some not so much. Few bunkers but the ones they had needed work. Like hitting off cement. I bet you can't get Par 4 on 12? You hit across a gulley (no water) and then try to stop your ball on a small green that is elevated. Harder than it looks. The course is built into their skiing hills so you have rolling countryside to work with. There are a lot of trees (and a couple man-made objects- ski lift poles) so you'll need to keep your shots straight. An errant shot will likely hit thick brush so bring a few extra balls. I highly recommend the course. We teed off at 930a so it was busy that day, pace of play was a little slow but nothing unusual. For the price, its well worth it. The clubhouse isn't too bad either. There is a bar/restaurant for when you're done.
Rake the bunkers
I love golfing here, the people are friendly , the course is in great shape. It's a great way to spend time with a friend.
Villa Olivia
The course was kept up pretty well but there was an extreme lack of monitoring on the course. We encountered a person walking their dog in the 15th green. Someone fishing on the 17th. And random people driving golf carts. The course layout is okay, some ski lift wires in the way at some points but all around okay course.
Beautiful course and views.
The course had a good mix of challenging holes and easier ones. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely play at Villa Olivia again.
Villa Olivia.
I've played this course many times when I first started. I just recently played it again and was very impressed. The course was in great condition. Tee boxes, greens and fairways r in excellent condition. This place has come a long way from back in the day. It's a tricky course that really is never that busy. I recommend it!
Golf
Had a good time. Friends came from out of town.
Good for the money
Course was empty - conditions were good, rough was a little long and if you ball went off line by a yard it was hard to find. Greens were in good condition but people do not repair the divots. Bunkers need work - but due to the recent weather I will give them a break,
Challenging course
Weather great!
Course in good shape.
Staff very friendly.
We had a great time overall!
Decent for the price
Nice course, only played front nine. Good condition, greens very good condition. Carts are old and pace was slow. Golfnow price was great.
