Villa Olivia is NOT the course it used to be
For the price they charge, play somewhere else. I spent $53 on a Friday afternoon and that is the same amount as more higher end courses in the area. This course is in rough shape. The “Pro Shop” is an embarrassment. You can’t buy balls, gloves, or anything a traditional pro shop has in stock. They only sell individual logo balls, “experienced clubs” (which should be thrown out or donated), and some good/beer. The “display counter” is a joke. It is empty except for a couple of bags of M&Ms. From a graffiti covered pop machine that is not even operational, to poorly maintained grass this course has lost its luster. The cart paths need to be completely redone. Greens need to be reseeded. There are not even rakes at every bunker. Unfortunately, unsupervised high school kids continue to ruin this course. There were two kids that actually ran through a fence with a golf cart while I was there. This course needs to be completely remodeled. Until, kids under 16 are required to play with supervision (and not allowed to drive a cart) Villa Olivia is just going to continue to be ruined by kids. DO NOT PLAY HERE!!!!!!
1st time out of season
No carts. Very limited amount of pull carts to rent out before our 10:30 tee time. So us 60 year olds had to carry our bags. Only worker was leaving at 2 pm. So even at the turn when they had some returned pull carts, she couldn't rent them as we wouldn't be done by 2 pm. All in all a nice day but frustrating they could do better with carts.
Back nine was closed, but I was not notified doing booking or in person
There was no notification that the back nine holds were closed. Playing nine holes twice is not the same.
When it's dry stay away
This course needs watering system really bad. The only part of the course that's got decent grass are the greens and they were recently aerated. The price was right and the staff very nice, but I will think twice before golfing here again. To bad because it's a great layout and challenge.
End of season
I regret seeing this course for the first time at end of season. Not well maintained or staffed. Overall 3/5 stars. Ok for $30 or less
Awesome Late Season Course
Given it's late in the season, the course is in great shape.
As always, the staff is awesome!!!
Villa review
Just aerated that morning and back 9 closed. Fairways were real rough covered with plugs.
Tired
Tired old course. Not really worth $60. Very poor course conditions. Great staff just not worth any $.
