Arboretum Golf Course
I have driven by this course for years and finally decided to play it since the cost is reasonable. What a pleasant experience! Very well maintained, beautiful fairways and greens. The course is very scenic with all the trees, undulating land,and water features. It truly is an Arboretum. It is not forgiving of miss hit shots, so bring plenty of balls if you shoot around 100. I'm looking forward to playing it again.
great time
It,s been a while since I played here. It's a fun, beautiful, and challenging course and I love playing here. The only reason I stopped coming was because of the pace of play. It was torturous long. But my last round was paced well and I will definitely return. Hopefully they have corrected there pace problem because it's a awesome course.
Great value
Great course fire the $. Greens are somewhat fast. Playing from the tips is around 6500 but feels like 7000.
Great Course
From tee box to greens the course was in great shape. Several short par 4's but challenging due to dog-legs and water. Will definitely play there again.
Nice tough Course
I wish they had a warm up facility. The first few holes are tight with water on the right and houses on the left. Rick Reed and his staff do a great job! The greens are nice and smooth ( they would be better if everyone fixed their ball marks)
This Course has excellent with nice weather
I played this course first time and course layout and green/fairway condition was good with some challenging... Score was more worse than average and hope I'm going to revisit to play this course again.
short course but not easy
This is a tricky course. Got some tough greens. Good value. If you live in northern suburbs is a must.
Leave your driver at home.
Arboretum is a very nice course but very challenging for the average player. Unless you drive bullets you should leave the driver in the bag. Even a nice looking drive can roll off into the water when it hits the sloped fairways. The typical hole has water on the right, houses on the left, and bunkers or gullies in the middle. Some fairways are built like islands requiring you to clear several hazards and place your shots precisely on the way to the green. Greens are in excellent condition and not unreasonably sloped or tricked up, but pin placements along side deep bunkers are a challenge.
Always a good choice
Friendly staff, great rates, and a wonderful course. Came on as a single but got paired up with a couple of other guys. Enjoyed my round with the company and will be back soon.
Great Landscaping
Very nice course with friendly staff. Complementary Tees available in the cart and proshop. Lost lots of balls in the water and on narrow fairways.
Great Vlaue
Course is in very good shape and worth the $. Some tricked up holes but makes you play different clubs off many tees
NICE couse
Arboretum was in good shape, and more importantly the greens were consistent. We played behind a slow group on the front nine and NEVER saw a ranger. Fortunately, they quit after nine and we played in a little under four hours. I'll go back and play this course again!

Very tough course,front 9 regular back 9 links style. Great layout with water and sand. Golf now price fantastic

Liked the course
The course was nice: We paired up with a couple of guys who were our peers talent-wise so that was good: The ranger asked us to speed up on #14, when we were playing at a 4.5 hours pace, which was bad: Overall was a good day:
A nice day
I play this course once or twice a year. Picked it this time because the price and tee time that I wanted came together. We were a twosome and paired with another. The downside of this course is no range. Just two nets in the parking lot. The course itself was in good shape. There is water on almost every hole on the front nine, but it is usually lateral or a short carry from the tee. The sand is plentiful, but was in great shape. Major problem was the pace of play fortunately the weather was perfect so we just relaxed and enjoyed it.
Elevation Challenge
The differences in elevation on the back 9 is what I really love about this course. Greens are always tough, but shooting down to up or up to down is a plus.

I recalled the Arboretum club as a very well maintained course.
The greens are in a terrible shapes, with a lot of holes and marks.
