Edgebrook Golf Course

4000 yard course with tee mats. At least they put in twe markers if you want to hit off the grass, but the "tee boxes" were not manicured at all. It was like teeing from the rough. Greens were ok for being so early in the year. No amenities in the clubhouse. Can't blame covid on self serve. Not worth the 35 bucks for a broken cart. Rather play somewhere else for 5 bucks more..

It’s okay if you’re learning how to golf and you don’t want to leave the city, but your dollar goes way further at other courses nearby.

Always a good time at Edgebrook. The greens at this course a very well kept. It's a really fun course, with diverse holes. Saw a couple of deer on the course, and various hawks.

For a Monday in late fall, the course was run solely by Dan and he is a gentleman. I was chasing the sun down and he was waiting patiently for my cart to make it back to the clubhouse to end his day. The staff here are invariably cordial and professional.

The deer at Edgebrook and rare bird sightings are a big plus too.

This course needs a lot of work. There are no grass tee boxes, instead they have astroturf mats, which are nearly impossible to hit off of. The greens and fairways need a lot of work. For the state that the course is in charging $45 is way to steep. I have played most of the forest preserve courses and this one by far is my least favorite.

Really fun course to play. The greens were well kept, the staff was friendly. People who complained are snobs, who probably suck at golf. Of course the rough is bad, it's called the rough for God's sake. The mats for tees isn't as bad as I thought. Bonus we saw a buck and a doe. Overall a fun place.

You tee off turf mats similar to a cheap driving range. The fairways are in terrible shape and the holes are short and crammed together. Several holes have trees over-hanging the tee box. Just in brutal shape. Not worth the money.

The course charged me for a power cart and did not tell me, so I paid for a pull cart. When I saw the price on my credit card, I called them, and they said the cart / walking rate is the same, so that they didn't overcharge. I tried to explain that I wouldn't have rented a pull cart if I had known I was charged for a power cart, but they were inflexible and would not refund the difference.

Generally, the course conditions are terrible, you tee of mats, the holes are crammed together, the design is plain. I think this course is really only a fit for someone who just got good enough to play something harder than a par 3 course. Other than that, you will have a terrible time. It was my least enjoyable round of the year.

Someone should have told us that the greens were aerated with big holes. NOT COOL to not disclose

This course is in bad shape. Fairways are not well maintained With a lot of dead grass and your ball might end up in a pile of sticks if not hit on the fairway. This courses only saving grace is that the greens are in much better shape than they used to be and the staff is pretty friendly. Only way I would play here again is if they drop the price below 25 bucks like it used to be

Hadn’t golfed here in years due to pace of play and course conditions. Gave it a shot. Course still in poor condition and starter had a 6 some in front of us and said it was no big deal for a Saturday morning. Wouldn’t golf here again if it was $10. Staff was laughingly unhelpful. Won’t be playing here again and I recommend you save money and don’t play here either.

This course is in absolute terrible shape. I get that it’s short and that the fairway isn’t necessarily needed on most holes but there could still be grass and not dirt and the holes where a fairway is needed was non existent. $40 for this course is an absolute rip off. Hitting off range mats? Really. ? The tee boxes were weeds and dirt. Terrible. Shut this place down before it’s convicted of highway robbery for charging that price.
