Edgebrook Golf Course

Look, I'm not going to act like this course deserves any awards. The back tees are driving range mats on concrete, there isn't a single bunker on the course, most holes are dead straight, and the average Par 4 is 300 yards. But this course is usually in pretty good shape, and has the unique combination of being a full 18 hole track close to the city at a low price. Great place for average golfers to improve their game in a way that a driving range can't. Plus, since its so short (I call it a 'drive & chip'), even the novice golfer can occasionally walk away with a birdie or two. Personally, I love it for what it is without expecting it to be the same caliber as a real course.

Course was fine. Not happy that I wanted to pay for 2 players, but somehow I was charged for 2 and 1 single golfer. Not sure who was at fault. Only 2 played at the 2:50 tee time. I would appreciate a future credit. Thank you.

Course does not have enough carts, starter said we’d have to tip him extra for him to get us a cart even though we already paid the cart fee. Tee boxes are literal driving range mats. Pace is terrible.

I shoot in the mid 90s. I looked at the course beforehand so I knew what I was getting myself into but I did no expect most hole to be straight arrows. I was fine with the overall course length but if you drive 250+ you will only use you driver twice. Something that I have never experienced was golf mats for the blue tees. Overall. It’s not worth the price considering the length and the simplicity of the course

The golf course is beautiful but it is short. Riding in a cart, you are sure to experience many, many bumps. The course layout is also a bit odd, especially for someone who hasn’t played there before.

We played at 7 am on a Tuesday, on a couple of other groups out. Didn’t have to wait around or feel rushed. Finished a round of 18 in a little less than 3 hours as a twosome with a cart.

Downsides:

- Course was in fairly good shape, most holes were wide open, but good bit of divot marks on greens that didn’t get repaired.

- The blue tees are Mats with pretty short tees.

- Some holes could only be played from mats no matter the tee you play.

- The layout is a little confusing for a first timer but we figured it out thanks to a friendly greenskeeper.

Other than that pretty solid little course especially if you want to focus more on your short game.

Tons of complains here though I shot my best round yet. Very easy course. The group in front of us seemed like regulars as they chatted with the staff and we're a 6some taking forever in front of us 3 golfers. Girls in the group cared more about finding balls than playing (they even picked up our balls as we drove them cause they thought they were up for grabs. We saw a few people without shirts which I've never seen on a course. They need customer discipline

The greens were pretty good, fairly quick for a public course. Fairways were a little spotty spotty in some places but didn’t really cause too many problems. We waited on every hole but still played in 3:5 hours. Courses tend to back up on par 3 holes and an executive course has more than usual..overall we enjoyed the day.

Solid course but if you’re left handed, you’ll have some trouble on hole 10 as the mat to hit off of is only set up for right handed players.

I highly recommend this course for beginners or those just looking for practice. I started golfing here as a beginner and it was perfect for me. This course helped me get good enough to play on the better courses. We all need a course like this near us. Dont expect a country club environment.
