About
Fox Run Golf Links opened in 1984 but over the past two years the course underwent a major renovation that made the layout both more challenging for serious players but also more forgiving for the recreational golfer. The multi-million-dollar renovation included enhancements to the hole layouts, redesigning the bunkers, installing a new irrigation system, and creating new practice and chipping areas. Water comes into play often throughout the golf course and you'll find elevation changes on nearly every green. The water holes will be especially tough if you have a tendency to slice the ball. Thanks to the varied layout, which includes some holes that are wide open and others that are more target-style golf, you will get the opportunity to work on different types of shots. Fox Run Golf Links is a challenging but fair test that players of all skill levels can enjoy.

Great course for the price
First time here - great course. Got a pretty good deal and played a fairly quick 18. Pro shop is phenomenal and plenty to eat and drink. Staff was friendly inside, but the ranger was unpleasant all day. Threatened to kick us off the course after we misheard directions. Besides that, I had a good time.

Nice course, nice layout, staff needs an upgrade
Place is pretty new, clubhouse is nice and even has indoor simulations. Staff does a poor job of welcome you. People always seem lost, starter never knows what’s happening. Pace of play can get out of hand. Place is new but the team/staff need to up their game and way of treating customers to make it more welcoming.

Chaos at Start
The course is in good condition. No complaints on layout, either. My experience was soured by a big confusion at the start. A group had booked the time slots in the morning, but were to end at 1:30 pm. Unfortunately, there were a number of group players still expecting to tee off after 1:30, and were told their time slot, but the general public had also started booking these times. The double booking led to a heated conflict. They alternated for a while, but the back up grew. It also slowed the rate of play on the course. Next available empty time slots were after 5:00 pm. I felt sorry for those who had to turn around and go home. My round took over 6 hours.

Condition of General Play
Played this course on Sunday the 26th. Was very surprised at how dry and what poor shape the course was in. First off was told to grab a cart in front and was NOT cleaned by attendee. Even the scorecard from the last people was still on the cart. Garbage was in the back as well. Who aerates there greens in the middle of summer. I have been playing golf a long time and never seen a course aerates the green in the middle of June. Sure would of been nice if you were told this prior to your booking.

Brilliant course in very good condition. Accommodating to golfers playing Fox Run for the first time and hugely impressed with the layout, amenities, and scenery on the course. Overall, I think this is one of the better public & reasonably priced courses within the Chicagoland area.

Great public course
Very well maintained public golf course. Challenging but not impossible for beginners to intermediate players. Greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Good value for the money. New clubhouse is amazing and food service is excellent. I would highly recommend this course.

The Course is in great shape
Very happy and impressed with this course, from the tee box to the greens, everything is in great shape and well maintained.
