About
Fox Run Golf Links opened in 1984 but over the past two years the course underwent a major renovation that made the layout both more challenging for serious players but also more forgiving for the recreational golfer. The multi-million-dollar renovation included enhancements to the hole layouts, redesigning the bunkers, installing a new irrigation system, and creating new practice and chipping areas. Water comes into play often throughout the golf course and you'll find elevation changes on nearly every green. The water holes will be especially tough if you have a tendency to slice the ball. Thanks to the varied layout, which includes some holes that are wide open and others that are more target-style golf, you will get the opportunity to work on different types of shots. Fox Run Golf Links is a challenging but fair test that players of all skill levels can enjoy.

Great place to play golf
Fox Run gives the bang for your buck. From the friendliness of the staff to course conditions. You can't beat it. Fairways and greens are always well maintained.

Tee times to close together
Weekends are always too slow and they just pack in as many people as they can.. I think it's only 6 mins between tee times... Always have to wait on almost every shot...

Rude manager and ranger ruined the outing
Half the time I spent golfing there was a lawn mower or worker in our way holding us up, and I wouldnt have normally complained EXCEPT the ranger and scheduler rushed us along only to be held up by something out of our control. So at the end of the day when returning the cart, I figured to just mention to clubhouse staff in passing and a "manager" stepped in to discuss. I told him I paid full price for something that felt like a partial experience. He proceeded to tell me I "didnt pay full price because Golfnow booking offered the course for less than there standard $55 rate" --basically if you find a deal or discount rate or dont book direct than you are a sub-par customer and they dont give a F about you or what happens there. They probably dont anyway tbh. Honestly, Id recommend anyone looking or on the fence to find another course to enjoy yourself and know you'll be treated right. Theres plenty in the area. Try instead Highland Woods in Palatine. If they even reply here, just know its a total spin to fix there own 2 wrongs and do a quick lil cya, but this is what happened.

Overpriced
This course isn’t bad with decent greens super flat straight holes however their rates are insane I would never spend half of what they charge for this course. Courses like Schaumburg are way nicer for 25$ less also the staff at Fox Run is stingy. Lastly, 99% of the time I play here we tee off on number 1 with nobody in front of us, we turn the corner to no. 2 and there are 3 groups on the whole, pace of play is brutal here with no ranger to tell them to speed up.

Great Course
This was the First time I had played Fox Run. I only played the front nine. The course was in great shape. Offered a variety of hazards and obstacles. The green where fast and challenging compared to what I am used to. There where very few flat putts. I really enjoyed the course and can't wait to go back.

Not bad
Little pricey for a Sunday. Relatively short . But course was in pretty good shape. 4 hours and 10 minutes on a Sunday morning. No waiting, which was great. Would definitely go again for $10 less

Great hidden course! Loved the BIG greens at this place! Front 9 is much more open than to back, so don’t fall asleep at the turn like I did!

Great pace of play
First time I have ever been at a course that waits a full 10 minutes (whether the 4some in front is off the green or not) before you can tee off. Actually - this made the pace of play excellent. Our round with a 4some was exactly 4 hours. The clubhouse is under construction - so amenities right now are OK. Person at check in could have been friendlier and we had no idea which carts to take. Not sure the cart was sanitized - but we did ourselves. Starters were nice.

Fox Run is a great track for the money.
This course is a perfect blend of 3 easy, 3 medium, and 3 hard holes on each side. There is construction going on right now for a new clubhouse, but it's a minor inconvenience. The staff at Fox Run are all very nice. I especially enjoyed the people who run the driving range. They were very friendly and helpful.
