South at Hickory Hills Country Club

Today was one of the worst I've ever seen HH. The Greens were unrecognizable ! Looked like they had mini sand traps on them, and cracking. The best green on the course was the Practice Green. Not goin back.

The fairways were nice, but the tee boxes were dirt and long grass/weeds. Most all greens were damaged, some by disease, some by clippings left from mowing. All greens were slow and needed cutting. It doesn't look as though much money has been put into the course. It's a great layout, though, and a great location.

Final comment. When I booked the reservation, I believed the cost included a riding cart. I'm a senior, I never walk, and this is a hilly course. I was quite surprised to have to pay an extra $10 for a cart when I got to the course. The confirmation letter from GolfNow does NOT mention this detail..

There wasn't much of a difference in grass height from the fairway to the rough. Greens were in very poor condition (many of them were shaved down to sand.

Tee boxes were in very rough shape and not cut whatsoever. You were either hitting off taller grass or just the dirt on the tee boxes.

There is no fairways. The fairway is tall grass which you will lose your ball almost every time. The greens are beat up and have chunks taken out of them. The tee boxes are also tall grass. Hit a ball 150 yards in front of me and lost it on the fairway because it’s all tall grass. I would not recommend to anyone.

Very nice starter and staff. I like that you can use a driver on most holes and the wide fairways are very forgiving. Unfortunately the greens among the worst I have ever seen. The tee boxes are not level and poorly maintained. The sand traps are overgrown and don;t look to have been maintained all year. I hooked a ball onto the north course and it wasn't even mowed. There are much better options for a $35 walking round. The nice part is that due to conditions and price the course was not very crowded. Despite all the condition issues I will play it again because it is convenient for me. The wide fairways are almost like being at the driving range and are good for practice. Hopefully the course improves but I wonder if it will be turning into strip malls soon.

This course usually has great hot deals on golfnow and usually always has a great pace of play but the course conditions are terrible. The 14th hole is the worst green condition ive ever played. Very friendly staff and not strict at all. Id recommend the course to someone who just wanna go have some fun and not worry about course conditions.

Greens and tee boxes weren’t in very good condition, but we are in a pandemic.

I’ve been going there for a couple years now. Staff is very nice. I got 29 holes in once for $15.

I mean. You get what you paid for. I have played worse but this thing has been let go. The greens need work. There literally is no fairways The layout is good but it just is beat up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. But at the end of the day for 45 bucks with cart you can’t expect Augusta. It allows you to play a cheap round. I won’t be back unless they fix the course but it is what it is

Worst Greens I have ever played on. Literally dirt and sand on 75% of them. Fairway first cut rough was uncut in most areas, and where they were cut, the dead grass clippings being so thick made it very difficult to find a ball with the amount of it all over.

Shouldn't pay more than $15.00 for 18 holes to play here.

I was very disappointed in course conditions since this was supposed to be a country club. It was extremely unkept, the greens were mostly had dirt and sand. I do not recommend going to play there.

Condition of the course was just fair, This is the second time I played the golf course. I played earlier in the year and the course had not been mowed fairways were very long. I decided to give it a second chance things have been improved but overall the courses in that very good shape.

All aspects of the course need improvement. Greens, fairways, rough, tee boxes , all had very rough spots, if not totally bare in some areas

The layout of the course could be a lot of fun if the maintenance was actually done well. Staff was friendly for sure! And helpful. But nothing could make up for the poor quality of the grounds
