Needs A Lot Work
This course was in the worst condition that I have ever experienced. The underground irrigation was leaking basically through out the whole course. Trenches were dug on many holes many greens were flooded and grass was brown. This course should NOT be open to the public!!! Disgraceful !
The worse conditions I have ever seen on a golf course. If it keeps going like this you won’t be able to even play golf their. .
Sad day
This use to a be jewel of the south side.now it's one of the worst courses out here.save your time and money play some where else to they put some time and money back in the Course the way it looks wont be around much longer.
Do not waste your money
I played this course a few years back and it was in extremely rough shape. I heard they were getting a new superintendent for the course so gave it another try. This is the worse kept course I’ve ever played. The tee boxes are so overrun by weeds and grass when you tee up your ball it is still touching the grass. There is no fairway, there are golf cart paths paved in the middle of the fairway on most holes, the greens are overgrown and have actual divits all over them where you can tell water isn’t being appropriately drained. Absolute garbage pile course.
Really Rundown
I used to golf at this course 15 years ago. It was convenient and forgiving, great course for a beginner. I always enjoyed it. My how things have changed. It was significantly cheap but good luck dealing with the poor conditions. They have dig-ups/pits in what looks like water mains being replaced throughout. Dead grass everywhere. Grass growing in what used to be sand traps. Dead grass spots and divots on some greens. Good luck finding a ball off the fairway. Clover and weeds growing throughout the course, even on some of the fairways. It’s unfortunate because this course is where I fell in love with the game. If you just want to work on some shots you can’t beat the price but like they say “you get what you pay for.”
Fairways in good condition
Greens are in good shape but notoriously very slow
Great value for the money
I only golf this course thru the Golf Now App
The course is in bad shape
The course hasn’t been maintained at all. Greens terrible fairways terrible tee box’s are awful all mud. I’m never golfing here again.
Course was terrible, and the greens were even worst. You are literally putting on a carpet.
Thirty years ago this used to be a great course.
Granted, we have had a lot of rain lately, but just left or right of the fairway was a quagmire of mud and water on many of the holes. There was no way to retrieve balls hit in these areas without loosing your shoes in the mud.The greens held good shots and putted fairly true, but were very slow. The fairways for the most part were very playable I wish someone at Golf Now would have alerted me to the poor conditions ahead of time, as I surely would not have played here. Also, we were playing fairly fast on the front nine, only to find that the course must have sent players off both the front and back nines, so the back nine played very slowly.
Pathetic maintenance
My 3some probably lost close to 15 balls because of course maintenance. Some holes had Beth Page Black like rough, in some spots there where areas up to my calves. The worst part was the that it appeared that the just dumped cut grass in the rough. I have played 5 or 6 courses this year, none of which did I pay $30 to play 18, and none of them were close to this bad.
Horrible
Course is garbage. Very old and very out of shape. I hit every fairway but still lost 2-3 balls on every hole due to the grass being so out of it. Would never ever step on this field ever again.
Terrible
This course is terrible. Lost 12 balls in the fairway. Grass has not been cut in at least 3 weeks. Paid full price on a Sunday and knew it would be cart path only since it had rained a few days before. What they didn’t tell us was that the course was flooded. Gas carts didn’t work, needed to use the choke every time you got in for the whole round. Tee boxes were not cut. June 2nd and no water in any of the water jugs. Should have been a discounted round but in reality they shouldn’t have even been open. Really disappointed
Should not have opened
Booked through GolfNow. We’ve had a lot of rain over the past few weeks, so on the first sunny day, we grabbed the very reasonably priced tee time. Unfortunately, the course should not have been open for play. Our twosome lost five balls in the first two holes, some of them in the fairway. The fairways were completely flooded, the balls sunk deep in the mud where they landed. A few inches off the fairways, the rough was easily 9 inches long and unless you were standing right on top of it, your ball was lost. The greens were covered with debris from the surrounding trees. We quit after the second hole. Unfortunately, because we paid in advance and the course was open for play, we couldn’t get a refund or even a raincheck.
