The fourth. A downhill tee shot to the fairway, and a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/20/2021

The downhill par-3 seventh. You’ll hope that your tee shot is solidly struck. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/20/2021

The ninth. One of the few penal holes at Patriot Hills, as a pond threatens to swallow your second shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/20/2021

The closing hole. 501-yard five-par. With turmoil from tee to green, eighteen has a fine setting for finishing a tight match. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/20/2021

This course has a driving range and practice putting area. It's a good golf course.
The staff was prepared for me when I got to the course. They had selected another player of who was near my age and ability which made for a competitive round and a lot of fun. The course was in good condition and well maintained. The roughs were not too rough and the course has some challenging holes. I would recommend this course to anyone regardless of skill.
This course has great greens
Great course my wife and i enjoyed playing there and will be returning the next time we are Tenn.
Greens recently aerated but otherwise in good shape. Mountain views are spectacular, enjoyed.
Enjoyed this course, friendly pro shop staff, great mountain views. Hope to visit here again soon.
Good course
Aeration should have been better communicated. Please advertise in the future.
Course was great, but...
Love Patriot Hills. The course is a lot of fun to play. One negative to yesterday's round was that they had aeriated the greens. When I booked the tee time, they did not have an aerification alert icon on the booking. May be a good idea to call the course before booking. The greens were so bad, we had to instill the "2 putt rule" once we reached the green.
Slow play ruined a nice day
The staff was great, the course in good shape even with the fairways in a dormant state, but the foursome in front of us ruined the round. No course should ever allow players out without their own clubs. This ruined an otherwise beautiful day on a nice course. I will go back to give them a chance to see if this is the norm.
This course is always very playable for the average golfer.
I have played this course many times. I find the staff to one of the most friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable in the area.
Notification would have been nice...
I have enjoyed Patriot Hills in the past so when we went out to play Wednesday I was disappointed to see how poor the greens were. Yes, they aerated 2.5 weeks prior but the aerate plugs were huge and not even close to being filled in.
A full disclosure of that would have been nice...they were literally not puttable...
Aerated greens.
Although the greens were aerated, the holes were very bumpy and could have used more sand.
1st time, great course, I'll be back
Great course, greens were a little fast, but the fairways were nice considering the time of year. Plan on returning more than once. Can't wait to see what it's like when everything is green.
Make sure your short game is up to par....
Played this course on 3-17-2013...pace of play was good considering the large number of players, overall course conditions and relatively high winds that were present. Course conditions were generally very good although some "tight lies" still exist around the greens from dormant grasses. Speed of the greens and the subtle breaks from the pin positions played havoc with our group. After testing (using a 36" aluminum track at a 20 degree angle on level ground) I found the greens to be running between 10-11 on the stimpmeter, which computes to basic "tournament" conditions. The other three players in my group did not posses the skill level to putt greens of that speed in a consistent manner resulting in 3-putts galore for them! I'd definitely recommend this course.
good course great views
friendly staff well kept wonderful view .at age 71 any time i have a score 76 or better,im happy
Good Layout
Patriot Hills has a great layout in a neighborhood with some unique holes. Great value for the money. Little disappointed that the holes weren't marked better. Tough to pick clubs. No ball washers on the course. Greens were perfect. Rolled true, no mark ups. very slick.
Nice course layout, loved the 3-3-3 format (par 3's, par 4's, par 5's)
A great value and a great find, first time at this course for my playing partner and myself. Despite record rain and snow fall of late; the course was in good condition, only a few holes suffered from the recent floods (very understandable). We will be back!
Beautiful Greens
Had heavy rains all week and expected Cart Path Only but course drained really well and carts were allowed. Had a full house but pace of play was very good. What surprised me most was with all the traffic, the greens were terrific.
This course was a little far for West Knoxville Players, but it was worth the ride.
Always have liked the layout of Patriot Hills
Greens are in great shape for this time of year. One issue with tee times management at Patriot. They really need to monitor tee times at the first tee, it always comes down to who gets there first, not what your tee time is. If that is not feasible due to manpower, it needs to be first come first served this time of year.
Overall In the area, bang for the buck, Patriot is a very good overall golf course.
Excellent greens, good winter conditions
Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course under winter conditions. The greens were excellently maintained and the staff was very helpful. Very little play this time of year, so it was a great opportunity to enjoy a round in under 4 hours.
Challenging Course
Challenging course, good value with the discounted tee times, could've used the restaruant open but understand it's the winter. Overall - Great time
Tough Residential Course
Course was challenging but fair and the greens were some of the fastest I've seen. The fairway grass is starting to become dormant which makes for long drives with a lot of roll, but the greens are very receptive. Nice course for the money.
