Good course, awful staff
Course is in good shape. The staff is abysmal. Starter was 45 minutes behind by 9am. The rangers are just clueless and rude. Two rangers yelled (yes yelled) at our group on 16 within ten seconds of each other claiming we were behind 2 Holes. We were a half hole back because another group drove on to our hole and caused us to stop until they moved. We tried to explain it but the rangers were not interested. We caught the next group by the next hole. Also, the pro shop accepts Amex and had a beer special. The “turn” at the next building couldn’t take Amex and no special.
Fast, Hard Greens
Greens were rock hard. Not going to land an approach shot. Lost a few balls in open fairways/rough. Not sure if others from other holes picked them up or they were laying underneath all of the cut grass laying around.
Fun course, well kept
Played on one of the first days where they allowed foursomes after corona. Very nice experience. It was fully booked but they allowed each person their own cart. Course was well maintained, friendly, helpful staff. Pace was a hair slow but not too bad for being completely booked. I really enjoyed the course - nothing too tricky but very nice greens that rolled true. I feel the price is very good for what I experienced. I plan to play again. Thank you.
Good event course
Two courses out in the burbs. Busy but organized and efficient starter. Great course condition though rough a little long due to recent rains. Course not hard but straightforward and fair. Greens true and fast. Mellow relaxed vibe. Carts available despite covid. Pace slow but manageable. A bargain at $30 with cart. Well worth the drive from downtown!
Tee time and pace of play
We were able to tee off 40 minutes after our time and to play 18 holes with pace of play . Over a 6hr round for 18 holes of golf. Poor management and overbooking of tee times . Not an enjoyable round of golf at all but the weather was nice .
Mid-March round
Course was in good shape for this time of year. Greens were being mowed for the first time this year during our round. Our twosome played in less than three hours. Some low spots on the course were pretty wet.
Has its place, but not great
The course is short, but fun to play when its small greens are rolling fast. It’s relatively easy to get on this course, but is overpriced and not as well conditioned when compared to other courses in the area. There are no amenities. I’d recommend playing it at $40 if you can get that price, but not more than that. Pro, shop staff and bartenders are great!
nice fall round
Course was not crowded. Greens were in great shape and very fast. Fairways in very good shape. Rough not that deep. Overall a nice day on the course.
Green garden
The course was in good shape for this late in season
Great round with Co-workers
I have played this course many times before. Course was in good shape. Rough was very long, they must have received a lot of rain in the previous week to not allow them to cut. The greens were amazing! Immaculate, true and provides a challenge.
Maintenance crew were not worried about getting hit around the greens as they continued to mow when we on the tee or approach!
Great course for the price
Great course for the price. It had rained a ton overnight but, was still in great shape
Gleneagles White Course
We had rain Sunday.
That said, most of the bunkers had large anounts of standing water. Lots. Made bunker play impossible. In most spots, lost balls. fairways underwater in spots.. too soft, difficult to lift ball.
Greens OK. 1st cut of rough very long..
I think drainage system is badly in need of work.
I've playes Gleneagles for over 20 years at least once a season. Hope they rectify.
Could use a little work
I have played this course for years. The staff is beyond friendly and the greens were in great shape. However when we got there we paid for the white course and were redirected to red. Disappointed as I never played the white however they had an outing so I appreciated the redirect for pace of play. The rough and bunkers were in bad shape. Sand was like concrete and not attended. There were infilled divots. Bathroom on 9 was not working. Just looked like it needed more TLC. Feel like the course has gone down hill over the years however I got a hot deal so for what I paid it was fair. Hope they put some more care in the course.
