Gleneagles County Club is home to two 18-hole golf courses, the Red and White. Opened in 1924, both courses have traditional layouts that have withstood the test of time. The Red Course, also known as the Lakes, is the longer of the two. Water hazards come into play on several holes, including what is considered the club's best par 3. The Red's 16th is a 170-yard hole that plays directly into the wind to an elevated green that is protected in front by a pond. It's a tough green to hit but a relatively easy one to putt. Both Gleneagles golf courses appeal to a wide range of skill levels, which is one reason why the club is known as the "Home of the Shotgun Start," serving as host to hundreds of golf outings every year.

Nice course overall
Played 18 holes shortly after days of rain. Considering how much we had dumped on us in a short time, course was in pretty good shape. Extremely well-maintained links-style course with small greens. Putting wasn't too bad, but I would have to imagine the very wet conditions played into that. Narrow fairways all around, but very playable from the rough. Overall, I would gladly play here again and would be interested to see what the course has to offer in dry conditions.

Well maintained, great staff

Nice course for the money
Fun forgiving course. I like playing here with my wife since it’s shorter and pretty straightforward. Some fun holes with water still. Bunkers were horrible but otherwise pretty well kept course.

The teeboxes were pretty beat up with lot of divots everywhere.. also bunkers were unplayable on all holes. ...

The course was in rough shape. Tee boxes were terrible and fairways at times were trash. They spray painted dirt green in some areas of the fairway. Definitely not worth $57 to play there. Only good thing was there was no one out there so pace of play was fast

Over priced
This course was over priced for what it offered. For $60 the bunkers should have sand in them, but these bunkers were just dirt.

put some sand in the traps
unfortunately the course has not kept up any type of maintenance, the tee areas are pock marked almost entirely, traps are almost empty of any sand and full of rocks and mud so impossible to hot out of and greens are slow and uncut.
the only saving grace was it was fast to play.
