Broken Arrow Golf Club - South/East
About
Broken Arrow Golf Club, located just southwest of Chicago's Loop, offers 27 holes of championship golf. There are three nines: East, North, and South that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course begins with a links-style nine. The front of the course is accented by the landmarks of its former use as a farm. The original farmhouse and silo can be seen from the first teebox. Throughout the front nine, golfers will be faced with 22 bunkers, seven ponds, and multi-tiered greens. The golf course doesn't get any easier on East nine, which is arguably the most difficult of the three. The back nine features a slew of sloped fairways, hidden water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. Course management is essential throughout the entire golf course.

Greens were brown
Was an extremely hot day, driving range and halfway house were both closed. Arrived an hour early to practice and couldn’t. Wasn’t any food besides a snickers and bag of chips the entire 18. Didn’t see the cart lady on the back 9 so couldn’t even eat a second snickers. Was starving by then end of the round. The greens were brown and as slick as glass. I won’t be going back anytime soon unfortunately.
Dead greens
8 or 9 of the greens were a dark brown completely. We waiting about 10 minutes to tee off on every hole and when we're were finishing on 18 there were 4 foursomes waiting to tee off on the south course. Really disappointed in this course for the money I paid. I won't be back any time soon.
Greens in Poor Condition
The general condition of the tee boxes, fairways, and rough was fine. The problem with the course begins with the greens. They appear to be burnt out, so much so that there is no grass on them. The Greenskeeper has done what he can to make them playable, but it's like putting on a pool table. They are lightening fast and unpredictable. Of the 18 holes played, only 2 or 3 were actually majority grass.
To be fair, the club is fully aware of the issues and are doing everything they can to address it. Give it a couple of months and thing should be back to normal.
Greens are Terrible
Most probably 14 greens that we played on were killed by
Chemicals. Totally burned out.
Waisted $73.
Club house was shut down for some reason
Had to check in at the range shack.
Bathrooms were ports potties
normally a good course to play. but they burnt their greens so they are horrible, and the clubhouse is closed, so I will not be going back soon.
Greens burnt to a crisp
Between my son and I, we have played Broken Arrow 20+ times and we’ve never seen the greens so trashed. They were brown and hard - little to no grass on 12 of 18 green. 6 we’re in really good shape. We got to the point where we refused to putt, gave 2 putts and moved on. Not sure if the hot stretch of weather did that, however, watering them properly would have gone a long way to make them somewhat playable. Rest of course was in good shape. For now, stay away until they address the greens.
Great course all around.
Course is in great shape, a few greens are dead but outside if that, impressive for the price.
Very poor greens
The greens were 90% dirt, I don’t kno what they did to them, but I won’t be playing there again
Broken Arrow Green
Almost every green was burned out, from chemicals they say. And didn't tell us until tee time. Main clubhouse closed, not that it was much, but no bathrooms, the outdoor portables were full and dirty, and they were closing g them and apologizing.
Not worth the money at this time..........
Good course for the Value
Greens need to be better kept up and also the club house was closed for some reason.
