Broken Arrow Golf Club, located just southwest of Chicago's Loop, offers 27 holes of championship golf. There are three nines: East, North, and South that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course begins with a links-style nine. The front of the course is accented by the landmarks of its former use as a farm. The original farmhouse and silo can be seen from the first teebox. Throughout the front nine, golfers will be faced with 22 bunkers, seven ponds, and multi-tiered greens. The golf course doesn't get any easier on East nine, which is arguably the most difficult of the three. The back nine features a slew of sloped fairways, hidden water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. Course management is essential throughout the entire golf course.

What happened?

Broken arrow seems to be in trouble. Water pipe broke so entire pro shop, restaurant and clubhouse closed. Half of the cart storage roof missing all its shingles. Everything being done thru the ranger house which holds maybe 5 people. No rakes in any sand traps. Only one course worker seen in 18 holes.

Fairways in ok shape but several greens burned up and brown. Driveway and lot needs patching.

No indications from staff as to plans to update and repair things.

Broken Arrow

Course has gone down hill. Greens were brown in many places. Looks like someone killed grass on greens. Had to go to rangebuilding. Clubhouse closed and had no food. Had a hot dog before a year ago bread was old . Use to be nice course now a complete waste of time.

Broken Arrow was Rough

In years past Broken Arrow has been one of my go-to courses, based on a nice layout and good conditions. My latest visit was disappointing, however, as the course conditions were not what I’d experienced before. For example most of the greens were brown and slow - not sure what might be causing that. Also, due to some construction getting food and drinks was tougher. All in all not as good a value currently as some other comparably priced venues.

Not bad

Nothing special, but not bad. Pretty decent conditions (minus the sand traps), and the greens were great.
