Broken Arrow Golf Club - South/East
About
Broken Arrow Golf Club, located just southwest of Chicago's Loop, offers 27 holes of championship golf. There are three nines: East, North, and South that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course begins with a links-style nine. The front of the course is accented by the landmarks of its former use as a farm. The original farmhouse and silo can be seen from the first teebox. Throughout the front nine, golfers will be faced with 22 bunkers, seven ponds, and multi-tiered greens. The golf course doesn't get any easier on East nine, which is arguably the most difficult of the three. The back nine features a slew of sloped fairways, hidden water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. Course management is essential throughout the entire golf course.

OK for a links course
good for fall play very few trees ...of the 20 courses we play i'd reat this number 8
Greens where in great shape
As a single I had a fousome two groups ahead but the moved fairly quick. I just slowed down my pace to match. I played 18 in 3 hours
Broken Arrow GC Lockport
I used a GolfNow.com Hot Deal and went out as a single.
I was overall extremely pleased with the golf course condition and the staff was very accomodating/helpful.
Labor Day Weekend...
A bit of my way. Only went because of a decent deal through GolfNow, including cart and sleeve of balls. Very open with relatively few trees. Houses line the whole course. Good use of bunkers, ponds and creeks to keep you challenged. Bring some extra balls to feed the water gods. Very well maintained fairways and greens. Tee boxes were a little worse for the wear due to the recent wet conditions. Carts are electric with GPS. Pace of play was too slow by my taste -- 4.5 hours. We were stacked up like planes on approach to Ohare...
Decent course but no reason to go back.
Good play for the price
Course was in fair condition. North 9 had brutal roughs. If you ended past first cut, deep and lots of debris. Greens played very well. We played at 6am so staff were still working on course so later rounds were probably better. Would play again.
Always an enjoyable experience
Course in very good condition. Nice pace of play for the most part. GPS very helpful with some of the holes. Very good value
Great Course
I played south / east, the course is in great shape and is challenging to most golfers. I will certainly be back.
Great Golf for Great Value
For a public course it is one of the best in the southwest side of Chicago. Staff was friendly, and the course was in Great shape.
The price is terrific for the quality of play.
This course is challenging and has great scenery
This course is challenging and has great scenery. Very well kept and staff is friendly. The price is the cheapest compared to any other course with the cart.
Well maintained
Fun course, good pace of play. greens in good shape. Driving range could be better, the artificial turf area was poor quality. I am not a big fan of the split greens on the North course, but you get used to them.
Wonderful course
I love this course. Pretty challenging and conditions of course are always pretty good.
Nice course...
Nice course in the south suburbs. Fairways and greens in great shape. Rangers/Staff super friendly. Pace of play was great.
Great Weather
Weather was perfect so the course was crowded. Played as a twosome on South and East courses in a little under 4.5 hrs. Liked that the rough off the fairway was a little longer and thicker than most courses I play for $25-$35 early bird specials in southland area.
Hidden Gem
I never new this course with 3 nines and a practice area ever exisited until last year. I've been playing golf in the west and southwest suburbs for many years. I was very surprised at how nice the course is and well maintained it is. I'm an 8 handicap and fully enjoyed playing here so much that since last summer I've played here 4 times now! Highly recommended! Great bang for the buck!
Great course that has it's act together!
This was my second time playing this course and it won't be my last. Unlike many courses that get people on as quickly as possible, Broken Arrow sticks to the tee times so pace of play is what it should be. I'm a 15 handicap and played with three 20+ and we never waited nor held anyone up. We went around in 4:16 with an 8:16 tee time on a Saturday morning. Almost unheard of in Chicagoland area. Course was in great shape, and everyone we encountered were friendly.
Well maintained
The course in great playing condition, pace of play was excellent, course was challenging, and at $41 per player with a cart it was a good value.
Nice course and friendly staff
This is a very nice course with some options since it has 27 holes. We played East and South course and they were in really good condition. The course is somewhat challenging with water coming into play into several holes. The only thing that is lacking is the pro shop and the bar/restaurant, they staff was really friendly but the facilities are not on par with the nice course.
Better than expected
Nice course. Not too hard not to easy. Course was in very good shape. Very impressed and will play again. Was rained out after 7 holes.
Not a fan of the 'two flag' system
Great value
Fun course and quick play in the early morning.
very good shape
Beauty in Lockport
Broken Arrow is a hidden gem for many of us who live up in the western or northern burbs of Chicago. Thankfully, Interstate 355 was extended further south and now it's a straight shot for folks like me. I played the South/East nines and was impressed. The course is wonderfully maintained and is a very tough challenge for any kind of golfer. I played the tips and felt like that was a good yardage for my game. Greens were in very good shape for so early in the year, and the pins were in some tough spots, so beware. Also, the people working at the course were very nice. The starter tried to accommodate me any way he could, as I played as a single. I'll definitely be returning to this course!
