Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club

About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Great Course, Quiet Setting
Marengo Ridge is a bit off the beaten path but worth the extra drive time. It is a moderately difficult course with the front and back with different "feels". The course was in good shape for the most part. Many tee boxes were in rough shape...especially the blue tee box areas. That said, the price can't be beat so I highly recommend the course.
Golf It
Go out and enjoy this course. Water in places that you can not see, but this is golf and challenges await. Go out and golf this course. Golf It!!
Great value if you can snag a deal
Overall a very solid course. There are few really fun par 4s that give you the option to drive the green but with a very high risk to reward level. The course was in decent shape… tee boxes and fairways were a little rough at times but didn’t make a significant impact. If you see a deal here definitely give it a shot!
Great Hidden Gem
I play Marengo a couple times a year. They’re doing some maintenance on a couple of greens, but the course is challenging, greens are fast and true, fairways and tees are in good shape. Great course layout, especially on back 9.
Always enjoy playing Marengo.
Course is not as remote as people think. Short drive down 90, course is 10-12 minutes off the highway.
Hidden Gem for a great value!
Hidden gem of a course with challenging holes and friendly staff! Great bang for the buck. Bunkers and water are plentiful, so accuracy over distance at this place. One of only a few local courses that makes you use almost every club in the bag. Always enjoy playing here.
