Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club
About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Nice course
The course was very nice but there were lots of opportunity to get wet! Lots of water! The only thing that was upsetting was the way they let people start the round. They let a single go in front of a three some, then a two some in front of us( another two some) then a three some behind us followed by a single. By the 6th hole we were jammed up at every tee box on a day that wasn't as busy as it seemed. Other then that we got a great deal and enjoyed the day!
pleasantly tricky but not too hard
I loved this course! Many doglegs and "hidden" undulations make for a fun and challenging outing. The course plays fair with virtually all greens heavily protected by sand. Altogether a fun layout and experience. I will return at first opportunity. Excellent deal through GolfNow.
Nice Course
Course has quite a bit of water and several blind tee shots. Really enjoyed the challenge.
Best in the Area
Marengo Ridge is always an excellent course to play. Even after several days of rain, the course drained out very well and had only 2 holes of "cart path only". The staff is top notch and friendly, and the course pace is very efficient. I have played dozens of rounds here and am happy that it is now offered through golfnow.com!
Nice Layout
Pace of play, course conditions, and lay out above average. Add in the reasonable price to play and you have a great golf day.
challenging golf course
course is in the best shape I have ever seen it. Challenging course because the 2 nines are so different. Holes are well laid out over a small acreage.
Great value for the money
No one on the course
Well it was Mothers Day but nice and quiet and in good condition wonderful spot for a golf course
greens are very good
course is in best shape its ever been in. cart path needs work!
Course nice, but another golfer needs to be respectful
Disappointed that staff was not aware that a golfer played acid rock music on course for all 18 holes - very distracting. Course grass has improved over the years.
out in the country
this is a nice course-way out in the country-would like to play again as now know how it plays-you should use the course map on score card as there are some tricky doglegs if you don't know the course-
Average Golf
This place has some opportunities to improve the quality of the course. But overall everyone is friendly and it is an easy-going place to enjoy a nice day.
Nice course
The course was in good condition for being early in the season. Very nice when the trees start to fill in.
Great Course
Been around for years- plays gret- some very challenging holes, and some friendly ones as well. Great scenery and very nice staff!
