Boone Creek Golf Club - Valley Course

Fun course. Even after heavy rain this past week or two, course was just fine. It's no PGA course but it's fun, greens are challenging and there's a lot of value for what your paying. Not to mention there's 27 holes here! Played this a few times and will return again

Paid $10 per round; took my boys for their respective 2nd on a course; wasn’t expecting much for $10 as we typically pay more than that for a bucket of range balls. We enjoyed the course and will definitely be back

Great course. Pace was play was perfect - 3-1/2 hours for a Saturday am. Can’t beat that. Fairways and greens were in great shape despite the dry weather.

Course plays well for the average duffer as well as advanced players. Great value for the money ($36 special on Golf Now).

The guy working the pro shop is always mad at the world. Whatever. The wetlands need to be cut down as you literally can’t see where to hit. Even on a par three I had a completely blind tee shot. Greens were very fast but the sand traps are a joke, mostly dirt and some with no rakes. Good course to okay with the wife but they need to put some work into it so at least you can have an idea where to hit the ball At least five tee shots where I had no clue.

I had been to Boone Creek to practice a couple times years ago, but hadn't played the course. The driving range is nothing special but the practice green is exceptional.

I was surprised with the course. Very well maintained with unique and interesting use of natural growth.. Very entertaining. Staff is very nice.

The course is very scenic, and is a great place to play. The round was in the evening, so things moved rather quickly. Would highly recommend coming here, and I will certainly be back for more rounds in the future.

Fun course that is challenging, yet scores well. The greens are always in great condition. Love playing this course.

The staff here took what would have been a nice Saturday and ruined it. There’s a course marshall who drove around searching peoples carts and bags for beers. We didn’t have any, but it was very awkward. He also used profanity and was very unprofessional. I’ve never felt so unwelcome, or disrespected on a golf course in my entire life. The course is in bad shape and looks nothing like pictures online. Don’t waste your money. If you’re going to golf in mchenry area, play chapel hill, fox lake, or renwood. Don’t pay good money to get treated like garbage at a course that’s been let go.

The staff is extremely unfriendly and I would never go back. The course martial kept yelling at us for doing nothing wrong. There are better courses for your money, game, and time.

I played this course when it first opened. The trees were short and it was like playing on a links course. Now, the trees have grown up and they have embellished the course with tall grasses and other flora. It's not Medinah-like challenging. It's low stress. The bunkers were horrible. They need to improve on them. I saw one that was not maintained at all and was turning back to the prairie.

We play Boone all the time! It is one of our favorite courses!! The staff is always lovely! Snacks are great! Drinks are awesome! The cart girl even brought out a special request for me! A must play course for sure!!

There has been A LOT of rain which has made keeping the grounds up difficult. The rough was higher, and thicker, than US Open standards. It made FINDING a ball in the rough VERY DIFFICULT EVEN WHEN JUST OFF THE FAIRWAY. The cart paths are filled with deep holes on every hole.Reminded me of a mine field. The course could use better marking for distances.

Great value for the money. Good pace. Good overall shape.
